Surrounded by rugged hills and nestled on the banks of Loch Sealbhanach, this seven-bedroom property makes a wonderful destination for large families seeking a secluded base from which to experience the outdoor activities and country pursuits of the area.

Set against a dramatic and unspoilt landscape of outstanding beauty in Glen Cannich, this seven-bedroom house is a fantastic holiday home for celebrations and large families. Originally built as a private hunting lodge in the early 20th century, the property boasts stunning views across Loch Sealbhanach and the surrounding glen and enjoys a secluded location with no near neighbours. Socialise late into the night in the bar where you can cosy up by the open fire with a wee dram in your hand. Host relaxed dinner parties around the dining table, seating up to 22 guests for special occasions or gather together in the drawing room for lazy evenings of board games and conversation. Surrounded by open countryside there is plenty of outdoor space for picnics and garden games. Enjoy walks straight from the doorstep spotting red deer and red squirrels among the trees. Hike out to discover the ancient Caledonian Forest where some of the trees are over 450 years old. Walk down to the loch for a picnic on the banks of the tranquil waters and work up the courage for a dip in its clear waters.

From the front door, head through to the formal drawing room with large picture window overlooking the loch. This elegant room has a selection of comfortable sofas arranged around the open fire, perfect for quiet conversations or a game of cards in the evening. Your stylish and contemporary kitchen has everything you need to make your stay a home from home including an AGA-style oven and extra freezer for storage of your provisions. With beamed ceiling and windows looking onto the loch, dine in style in the elegant dining room, where the formal dining table comfortably seats up to 22 guests, making this ideal for celebratory meals. After your supper, step into the cosy bar for cocktails or a dram of the local whiskey and conversation into the early hours. There’s also a handy WC on the ground floor for your convenience. When it’s time to retire, climb the wonderful period staircase to the first floor where you will find seven well-appointed bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms boast king-size beds dressed in luxurious linens with sumptuous soft furnishings and countryside views. Ample storage space for your possessions is provided and each of the rooms benefits from an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. Further along the hallway is the family bedroom with a double and twin beds and Jack and Jill style en-suite bathroom. Enjoying an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath is another comfortable double bedroom and a further cosy double bedroom comes with a separate shower cubicle. Outside, spread out your picnic blanket for an alfresco lunch in the large, enclosed garden where there is plenty of room for younger guests to play.
