Escape your hectic pace of life and immerse yourselves in the tranquillity and splendour of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sleeping eight people across four rooms, this gorgeous home is the perfect setting for large groups to spend quality time together. Located in the quiet village of Burnham Deepdale, you will be well-placed to explore the many gems on offer in the area, such as walks along the coast path, boat trips to see the local wildlife and strolls along sandy beaches such as Brancaster, which is only 3 miles away. You also have the unique Dalegate Market within 100 metres, which has shops, a café, bike hire and special events throughout the year. There’s also a popular village pub.

This property is a home away from home with everything you’ll need to make yourselves comfortable and relaxed. The lounge has plenty of comfy seating for everyone and it leads into the warm and sunny conservatory, which provides additional space for perhaps a morning coffee while you plan your day. Next door is the dining room with a round table, which is perfect for enjoying sociable meals or playing games together. The kitchen is modest, but well-equipped, and the separate utility room is a must for wet and sandy kit. Upstairs there are four well-appointed bedrooms, some of which enjoy distant sea views: one double with an en-suite shower room, another double and two twins. A bright family bathroom completes the accommodation.

Stepping out of the conservatory, you’ll find yourself in the attractive garden with its mature shrubs and trees. There is a lawn for the children to play, whilst the adults relax on the patio, light the BBQ and enjoy a glass of wine.

Local Area:

This area is packed with natural beauty and unique flora and fauna. Within a mile of the property, you will find the very special Scolt Head Island Nature Reserve. Limited access ensures its dunes, beaches and rare wildlife are often left in relative seclusion, so be sure to investigate which ferries are leaving from Burnham Overy Staithe during your stay and take a picnic to your own ‘mini paradise’. If you want to appreciate the coastline further, join the Norfolk Coast Path which passes very close to the property and travels from Holme-Next-the-Sea (6.5 miles) in the west to the popular crabbing town of Cromer (30 miles). The area is also packed with gorgeous towns with a range of independent shops and eateries, such as Wells-next-the-Sea (8 miles) and Blakeney (16 miles), which also provides access to Blakeney Nature Reserve which hosts migratory birds and its own seal colony.

The cottage itself was gorgeous, it was really easy to get lost! The garden was lovely and the children kept a close eye on the pigeon sat on its nest for the whole 2 weeks!! The local wildlife made itself know - we saw deers, squirrels, and loads of birdlife on the marshes.

The house is showing its age. Its a good size & well equipped. Bedroom 4 (twin) is cramped but the other 3 are good. We had some issues whilst there not helped by the BH weekend and the agent who oversees property did not get it fixed during our stay (said they would), no calls back to explain why or apologise. The bathroom light was broken so fun Read moreusing a torch all week & hot water had to be turned on manually to heat up. They still have carpet moths. I would say 3 stars overall. Hide

Nice, comfortable property, generally well equipped, in a peaceful setting. Vehicle access is tight if you have a very large car. Great proximity to coastal walks. We would stay again if in the area

A comfortable and well equipped property in an excellent location. What it may lack in 'olde worlde charm' is more than made up for as a practical holiday home.
