Situated on the edge of a small village just a short distance from the beautiful scenery of the Dordogne, this splendid little chateau is split into two wings – one offering medieval splendour and the other offering classical elegance.
This property has stayed in the same family for centuries and offers a gorgeous holiday home for families, blending historic features with contemporary touches. Ideally up to ten adults and nine children are welcome to stay at the manoir, which offers 2 bedrooms in the classical wing and a lovely dormitory for children with a further 4 bedrooms in the medieval wing. Five of these bedrooms also benefit from en-suite bath or shower rooms, a small shower room can be used for children sleeping in the dormitory. The dormitory/playroom can also be converted in a large dining room or dancing room for celebrations.
On the ground floor, the two wings are connected by the lounge, offering an elegant grand piano where you can tickle the ivories. There’s also a fully-equipped kitchen, offering everything you need, including a range cooker, to cater for all of your guests, and, with a dining room with a roaring log fire that seats 15, there’s plenty of room for everyone to gather at meal times too.
If you’re looking to make the most of the sunshine, there’s also the option to dine al fresco, with the large terrace furnished with tables and chairs as well as gas barbecue. During the sunny afternoons, sit back on a sun lounger or enjoy a dip in the heated swimming pool. There’s also plenty to keep the kids’ busy outdoors – the manor house comes complete with a trampoline, swings, table tennis, pool inflatables and badminton. Bikes can be arranged at extra cost.
With a capacity of up to 50, the manor house is also perfect for wedding receptions, and there’s even a beautiful roman church right next door suitable for ceremonies. Packages including catering, entertainment and more can all be arranged.
