If you can tear the kids away from the masses of stuff to do here, then be sure to enjoy the surrounding Lincolnshire countryside. Enjoy the short 0.5-mile walk into the local town of Wainfleet All Saints, where you'll find all the amenities you may need. Enjoy a drink in the local family-friendly pub before picking up some fresh fish and chips and heading home. For a trip to the beach, your best bet is the local seaside town of Skegness (6 miles), easily accessible by car or via a 15-minute train journey from Wainfleet station. The town's Blue Flag beach offers traditional seaside attractions, such as a pier with fairground rides. Smell the hot doughnuts, candyfloss and salty sea air, and truly relax as a family.

Very welcoming and just what we hoped for. Christmas tree/decorations for 15-18 December; lots of facilities (warm swimming pool with adjacent showers/toilets, pool and table tennis tables), well-appointed kitchen and storage/prepping area, comfortable bedrooms (minor snag - no shower /bath serving the downstairs bedroom). :Lots of outdoor things nRead moreot usable in December but would be great in summer. The cottage was a very useful addition and was used by part of the family. We had all our meals together in the main house which had a lovely dining room, but the cottage gave that extra flexibility in terms of sleeping accommodation.

Fabulous house, clean, comfortable and plenty of room for a large group! The pool being indoors was an amazing addition, especially with it being November. Although we did have incredible weather.
