At the end of a half-mile private drive, set in the peace and tranquility of rural Normandy amongst its own fields, La Maison Rurale is the perfect place for a relaxing break.

The 300-year-old property is full of character, with rustic beams, thick stonewalls and an impressive Normandy fireplace adding to its charm. There is a well-equipped kitchen with all the modern appliances you would expect from self-catering accommodation. There is a family bathroom, as well as two shower rooms, one of which is an en-suite to the master bedroom.

Outside, the pretty, south-facing terrace is a real suntrap and the ideal place to enjoy a glass of French wine or two in the evening. The terrace is covered by vines and features a dining area and BBQ for those sunny summer evenings when you choose to dine outside. Beside the terrace, you’ll have access to a private, outdoor, heating swimming pool (May – October) where you can while away the hours, soak up the sun, read a book and admire the beautiful views of the wooded valley below from the comfort of your lounger.

Just a ten-minute stroll away is the little village of Grimesnil where you’ll find an excellent bar/restaurant offering alfresco meals.
