With beautiful views over the River Kingie to the mountains beyond, this remote Highland lodge is perfect for families and grounds of friends seeking a luxurious base to unplug from the stresses and strains of modern life. With limited mobile phone signal and limited Wi-Fi, leave your devices behind and enjoy each other’s company in stunning surroundings. Sitting in over 17,000 acres of estate lands, this imposing cottage sleeps up to 14 guests across seven comfortable bedrooms. Light the open fire in the generous sitting room and sink into the plump sofas for an evening of convivial conversation. Linger over a tasty meal and a glass of wine in the elegant dining room, an inviting space to relax late into the night. Get competitive in the games room and start a holiday billiards tournament to declare the champion at the end of your stay. With acres of estate lands to explore, there are walks from the doorstep to suit all ages and abilities, including five Munros situated on the estate. Country pursuits such as stalking, and fishing can be arranged with prior agreement. If you can tear yourself away from your beautiful holiday home, the popular town of Fort William is 39 miles away and Kinloch Horne (13 miles) offers rugged coastal walks with views across to the Isle of Skye.

Sitting in splendid isolation on the south side of Loch Quoich, your holiday lodge has a welcoming feel decorated in neutral shades with wooden tones and co-ordinating soft-furnishings. From the moment you step through the front door the warm and homely feel of the property surrounds you. Greet your guests in front of the roaring fire of the spacious reception hall, the ideal location for evening drinks and canapes as the sun sets across the distant mountains. Rustle up tasty meals in the light and airy kitchen/breakfast room where you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. Plan your day with a morning coffee at the breakfast table or step through to the elegant dining room where you can gather together for celebratory meals. Play parlour games or a hand of cards in the welcoming sitting room where comfy sofas are arranged around the open fire for relaxed evenings of conversation and laughter. Play billiards late into the night in the games room where you can sit in the window seat with glass of wine in hand and take in the sun sets across the mountains. For your convenience there is a drying room for outdoor clothing, a bathroom and separate cloakroom and a utility room on the ground floor. Take the stairs to the first floor where you will find the well-appointed bedrooms, all dressed in crisp linens with luxurious throws and co-ordinating pillows with magnificent views across the surrounding countryside. There are three generous double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom and another with en-suite shower room and four comfortable twin bedrooms. A bathroom and spacious shower room are situated on this floor. Outside there are acres of estate lands to explore. Play garden games on the lawn or light the BBQ for a sociable meal under the stars. Amazing house for a large group of friends, it is massive with a large garden looking out onto the loch. There were deer in the garden one morning! It is a full size pool table which was a great way to spend a few hours in the evening. All the bathrooms and kitchen were equipped with good quality equipment. Beds were really comfortable. Just be awaRead morere, it is rather remote and no shops (or pubs!) within walking distance. Which suited us perfectly (apart from the pub part) Enjoy if you do visit! Hide

Kingie Lodge is a beautifully remote, spacious lodge for a group gathering. We were 3 families traveling together (12 ppl total). The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen is very well-stocked. There were ample games for the kids to play, and the snooker table was a hit. It took us a bit of work to get the coal fire going, but I'm glad weRead more persisted. Deer on the lawn every day. Renters should know that the lodge is very remote - 20 minutes on a single track road to get to any services. Hide
