This delightful property is located in the pretty village of Darley, within 0.2 miles of the 17th century village pub. Ideally situated for those who enjoy spending time outdoors, with spectacular Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks and Ripley Castle just a short drive away. More adventurous guests may like to try out activities such as climbing, gorge walking, and caving, all of which, and many more, are on offer at How Stean Gorge around 14 miles north of the property. To the east of the village, the towns of Harrogate and Ripon are both wonderful places to enjoy day trips: Harrogate with its tearooms and spa, and Ripon with its impressive cathedral.
On entering the cottage, guests will find a downstairs WC and plenty of space for coats and boots. Leading off the entrance hall is a cosy snug with TV and surround sound system. Three steps up from the hallway lead up to the dining room which has been thoughtfully designed offering guests the perfect spot to linger over leisurely meals prepared in the kitchen which is well-equipped with an AGA, combi oven, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Doors from the kitchen lead through to the light-filled conservatory with views across the lovely gardens. The lounge is the ideal place in which to relax on one of three comfortable sofas in front of the log burner and simply enjoy spending time with friends and family. Stairs to the first floor lead to the four bedrooms, the first of these features a super-king bed which can be made up as a twin on request. The three further bedrooms include a pleasant twin room and two doubles. One of the double rooms benefits from an en-suite shower and WC, whilst the main bathroom has been finished in a chic, contemporary style with stunning roll-top bath, separate shower, and WC.
Outside, there is a large garden to the rear of the property, offering an expansive lawn surrounded by open countryside. The lawn is overlooked by a patio area for which garden furniture is provided. There is off-road parking available for up to four cars and there is a stable which guests can use for storing bikes etc. Please note that the owner may occasionally need to access a garage.
