Highlands Hideaway is a luxurious, fully staffed property on the beautiful river Dee, enjoying glorious open views out over the valley of Royal Deeside. The property’s 2.25 mile stretch of river offers (by separate arrangement) some of the best beat fishing, with excellent salmon and sea trout. The Scottish Dee is a Catch & Release river.
The Lodge sleeps 20 people across 10 sumptuous en-suite bedrooms, each one beautifully decorated with a range of soft and firm pillows to suit all guests. Indulgent throws, comfortable occasional chairs, Sky TV, fluffy white towels, a hot drinks tray with cookie jar, quality toiletries and sparkling en-suite bathrooms enhance the feeling of luxury. Bedrooms can be made up as a twin or super-king double, making Highlands Hideaway the perfect choice for any group gathering, including family celebrations, stag and hen parties, weddings and corporate events.
Highlands Hideaway is fully catered with an in-house chef who prepares a plethora of dishes to suite all tastes using locally sourced produce where possible. Food allergies can also be catered for and guests can enjoy eating in the very spacious Dining Room with a long banqueting table, exposed beams, a wood burner and exquisitely selected artworks and ornaments.
The Sitting Room offers plenty of space to relax, with comfortable leather and fabric sofas, occasional chairs and a selection of books and games for the perfect evening in. Set around a woodburner, the room is cosy and welcoming with bright cushions offering a splash of colour and a striking antler chandelier illuminating the vaulted ceiling.
Spend your days fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon (by separate arrangement) or exploring the beautiful rural location, including nearby Balmoral, and return back to the Lodge for a delicious supper. Muddy boots and wet clothes are no problem – there is a drying room for guests to use and secure storage for outdoor kit.
There is a separate kennel block for dogs (free of charge) or well behaved dogs are allowed in the bedrooms at an additional charge of £10 per dog per night.
