Set in lush green countryside less than 2 miles from Hartland Quay, this welcoming property is the perfect hideaway for your BIG holiday. Sleeping eight across four cosy bedrooms and with two lounge areas and a bubbling stream running through the garden, everyone will be able to find their perfect spot to curl up in. Pop to the village of Hartland (1 mile) for a hearty breakfast in one of the cafes or pubs, or stock up on some favourites from the traditional bakery or butchers.

The detached cottage, which has a pretty thatched porch, is spacious and comfortable. The lounge diner is fresh and bright; a wonderful inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner-effect electric fire makes sitting around the dining table a pleasure. The huge kitchen, with beautiful exposed beams and plenty of worktop space, is a sociable space to enjoy informal breakfasts in before heading out to explore the stunning Hartland Heritage Coast. The main lounge is light and airy during the day, but draw the curtains in the evening and it becomes a cosy haven; snuggle up in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire with your favourite film on the TV and a hot drink. Upstairs, the peaceful bedrooms are a tranquil place to retreat to after a long day on your feet; wake up among soft, calming decor with quaint coastal touches and head down to the garden with your morning coffee. Garden furniture in a sunny spot provides a lovely place to sit and read a book or catch up chatting over a glass of wine or two. In the summer watch the children play – just watch for the stream that runs straight through.

We had a really nice time. Everything is in easy reach - seaside, coastal walks, woodland walks. After busy day coming back to tranquility of the cottage and it is a bliss to soak tired feet in the stream. Thank you our host Nicola for looking after us.

The cottage is well equipped and situated in a very quiet location. It is ideally suited for those wanting to go on long walks directly from the cottage with more variety a short drive away. A really lovely family friendly cottage in a fantastic setting with lots to do in close proximity. With 3 adults and 5 children in our party it suited us down to the ground. The oldie worldie atmosphere and peaceful setting was very tranquil and lots of walks on the doorstep was great for local adventures.

This old cottage is in a beautiful location and the garden is fab. We were a family of 6 visiting from our summer holiday: grandparents, parents and two children under 3.
