Situated within the courtyard of a charming hall the farmhouse offers five double en-suite bedrooms, a well proportioned sitting room and a spacious kitchen/diner which is perfect for larger groups.
The location provides stunning views around every corner and provides a real get away from it all experience. The area boasts charming villages, traditional market towns, and miles of footpaths and cycle ways, and yet only an hour’s journey from major industrial cities meaning this is a wonderfully convenient location. The Peak District is also home to stately homes and castles, including romantic Haddon Hall, imposing Hardwick Hall stunning Bolsover Castle and of course, the jewel in the crown, Chatsworth House. A real foodie hot spot with countless restaurants, country pubs, farm shops and cafes to explore so you can put your feet up and forget about the washing up. Don’t forget to stop for some Bakewell pudding!
Stepping through the grand traditional double doors it sets the scene for the character that will surround you. Head through to the comfy lounge with ample chairs and sofas to sink into after a day walking the hills and put your feet up in front of the TV and feature fireplace. Leading through to a spacious kitchen/diner with a dining table big enough for the whole family to enjoy lazy breakfasts or celebration dinners. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, American style fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher, there's also a sofa with coffee table for relaxing and chatting to the chef. There is a beautiful and sunny downstairs double bedroom with a stone floor and stable door overlooking the courtyard with adjoining wet room with WC. Upstairs the spacious master bedroom is brimming with character, with a double bedroom and stunning en-suite bathroom with free standing bath, shower and WC. Additionally, there are three further double bedrooms all with quirky beams and charming traditional furniture with en-suite shower rooms with WC.
Heading outside there is seating in the courtyard which is the heart of the grounds. There are adjoining buildings which host a variety of themed dinner evenings from time to time. The owners beautiful peacocks roam around the grounds, they like to be heard at times and this just adds to the wonderful experience this country retreat provides. There is ample off-road parking available.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
