A spacious and charming property perfect for larger parties, boasting a music room and river views. Only 0.5 miles away from the centre of pretty village Aberfeldy.

If you and your friends have ever fancied your very own country pile, then this is the place for you. Stacked full of original features including stained glass windows, it’s a handsome house with fantastic character that sits in beautiful grounds beside the River Tay – you’ll even have your own orchard. You’ll feel a million miles away from reality as you sweep into the large driveway and see the grand turreted bays and immaculate lawns. Inside, the entrance hall with its chesterfield sofas, cosy wood burner, original wood panelling and grand double staircase will stop you in your tracks.

Like a set from a movie, there is room after room to explore – and plenty of little touches that will delight even the grumpiest of teens, like an original record player with a complement of LP’s. Relax and catch up around the wood burner in the elegant living room, nag the musical among you to get creative with the range of instruments in the music room, or enjoy a little quiet time in the airy conservatory.  The large kitchen is equipped with a Smeg fridge and range oven, plus a separate drink’s fridge, dishwasher and useful washing/drying machines. With a dining room to seat ten guests amidst the warmth of a roaring log fire, those leisurely family meals can go on long into the evening. A downstairs double bedroom, along with two doubles, a twin and a family room to sleep three on the first floor, provide plenty of options for a range of family or friend groups, all with beautiful antique beds and furnishings. On summer evenings, take the party outside to the summer house nestled in the apple trees which has its own music player and BBQ, or get teams together for a croquet tournament on the lawns.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Brilliant destination for a large family 'gathering' - lovely setting and close to everything you need. The house is in amazing 'timewarp' condition (like living in a National Trust property!) but with modern amenities. Only minor drawback is a lack of shower facilities downstairs for the lower bedroom which makes it awkward for elderly or disabledRead more guests). Kids loved the toy boxes and games Hide

We recently stayed at Dunvarlich to celebrate my Father's 60th. The charm and beauty of the house gets you as soon as you go in and puts you instantly at ease, just wanting to explore every nook! The record player gave us long evenings of delight around the dining table and the size of the house meant that ages 4 weeks to 60 years all had plenty ofRead more space to spread out and enjoy quiet time as well as party time. I would wholeheartedly recommend and can't wait to be back! Hide
