This property is situated in the village of Shanklin on Isle of Wight’s east coast. A village of two halves, the picturesque village centre has a wonderfully quaint feel to it, with its chocolate box cottages, gift shops, and tea rooms. The seafront, by contrast, bustles with activity and offers a sandy beach behind which amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, and a mini-golf complex provide hours of entertainment. Linking the beach to the village, Shanklin Chine is a tree-lined gorge which is an attractive natural wonder by day and is lit in multi-coloured lights in the evenings.
Upon arrival at this five-star villa, guests come first to a tiled entrance hall, off from which they will find the spacious, light-filled lounge with its inviting sofas, fireplace with cosy wood burner, and a TV/DVD. Patio doors open out onto a balcony, which allows guests to open up and extend the space during the summer months. When it comes to enjoying meals together, guests have a choice of two separate dining rooms: one has a more formal feel to it, whilst the other, which is just off the lounge, has refectory-style bench seating. The kitchen, meanwhile, has a light and airy contemporary style and offers an oven, hob, microwave and fridge. The freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, meanwhile, can be found in a separate utility room, next to which there is a shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. Stairs from the hallway lead to the bedrooms on the first floor. The first of these is a king-size room which benefits from an en-suite bathroom with a slipper bath, handheld shower, and WC. The second bedroom, is also a king-size roomwith en-suite facilities, this time a shower and WC. The third room is a twin bedroom, which can be made up as a super-king on request, thanks to the zip-and-link beds, and the fourth bedroom is a children's bunk bedroom.
Outside, the property benefits from a fantastic garden, which is accessed through a door from the hallway. This door opens onto a terraced seating area, beyond which stairs lead down to the main garden, a relaxing space with paths leading between the various areas, giving it a lovely secluded feel. There is garden furniture and a BBQ provided, and there is even a pretty stream flowing through the space, adding an additional charming feature. To the front of the property, there is gated parking area for two cars, and there is additional roadside parking available locally.
