Stunning five-star property, offering elegant accommodation for eight guests, situated in the pretty Isle of Wight village of Shanklin, just a short walk from the village’s popular sandy beach.

This property is situated in the village of Shanklin on Isle of Wight’s east coast. A village of two halves, the picturesque village centre has a wonderfully quaint feel to it, with its chocolate box cottages, gift shops, and tea rooms. The seafront, by contrast, bustles with activity and offers a sandy beach behind which amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, and a mini-golf complex provide hours of entertainment. Linking the beach to the village, Shanklin Chine is a tree-lined gorge which is an attractive natural wonder by day and is lit in multi-coloured lights in the evenings.

Upon arrival at this five-star villa, guests come first to a tiled entrance hall, off from which they will find the spacious, light-filled lounge with its inviting sofas, fireplace with cosy wood burner, and a TV/DVD. Patio doors open out onto a balcony, which allows guests to open up and extend the space during the summer months. When it comes to enjoying meals together, guests have a choice of two separate dining rooms: one has a more formal feel to it, whilst the other, which is just off the lounge, has refectory-style bench seating. The kitchen, meanwhile, has a light and airy contemporary style and offers an oven, hob, microwave and fridge. The freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, meanwhile, can be found in a separate utility room, next to which there is a shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. Stairs from the hallway lead to the bedrooms on the first floor. The first of these is a king-size room which benefits from an en-suite bathroom with a slipper bath, handheld shower, and WC. The second bedroom, is also a king-size roomwith en-suite facilities, this time a shower and WC. The third room is a twin bedroom, which can be made up as a super-king on request, thanks to the zip-and-link beds, and the fourth bedroom is a children's bunk bedroom.

Outside, the property benefits from a fantastic garden, which is accessed through a door from the hallway. This door opens onto a terraced seating area, beyond which stairs lead down to the main garden, a relaxing space with paths leading between the various areas, giving it a lovely secluded feel. There is garden furniture and a BBQ provided, and there is even a pretty stream flowing through the space, adding an additional charming feature. To the front of the property, there is gated parking area for two cars, and there is additional roadside parking available locally.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Beautiful and well kept period house. Lovely welcome pack received on arrival. We enjoyed exploring the magical tiered garden and catching sight of red squirrels and a family of badgers at dusk. The house is only a 2 minute walk to Shanklin Old Town and a short walk to the beach.

You will not be disappointed. The house was immaculately clean and well stocked. A generous welcome hamper loved by all ages! The kids adored the garden, as did we. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

A beautiful and elegant Victorian house furnished and equipped to a very high standard, with a lovely and unusual garden and a fabulous welcome hamper! It made our week on the Isle of Wight one of my best holidays ever. (And our 7th holiday in Shanklin!) Go if you can!

We had a wonderful week in this lovely house and magical garden. From two years to seventy years it suited us all perfectly. The welcome hamper was greatly appreciated as were all the other touches.

A lovely house in a very good location, with a wonderful garden. Spotlessly clean and with everything you could possibly need and much more besides.

Beautiful house, spotlessly clean, had everything you could possibly want. The garden was amazing (had to keep an eye on the children in the garden due to steps). Great location, near to some very good pubs and restaurants. We definitely recommend.

A truly wonderful house with every convenience necessary for our stay which included a toddler. The house was immaculate and its situation perfect on the edge of Old Shanklin. I recommend it without hesitation for parties of all ages. The three generations of our family had a fabulous holiday.
