Set in fifty acres of stunning park and woodland, midway between the pink city of Toulouse and the snow-topped Pyrenees mountains, Chateau La Louge offers a charming place to stay and a great place from which to explore the south of France.
This historic chateau is steeped in old world charm, decorated with antiques, tapestries and chandeliers throughout, while also offering plenty of modern touches to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Up to twenty-one people can stay in the chateau’s eleven bedrooms, where there is a variety of sleeping arrangements. Five of these bedrooms boast en-suite bathrooms, while there are two additional separate bathrooms.
Featuring a range cooker as well as numerous appliances, the kitchen is perfect for preparing meals for the whole group. Over in the dining room there’s room for everyone to gather around the main dining table (seats fourteen) and the extra table available. If you wish to dine alfresco, there’s plenty of seating on the terrace as well as a BBQ. Three reception rooms contain everything you need to entertain your guests, including a TV/DVD, stereo and even a grand piano – there’s also a stunning library and pool table too.
Outdoors, the sprawling grounds are yours to explore. The surrounding woodlands offer plenty of peaceful walks, and you may even spot grazing deer in the early mornings. There are several outbuildings to discover, including an eighteenth-century chapel and dairy, and a nineteenth-century stable and farm building. If you fancy a swim, the 20m outdoor swimming pool is the perfect place to unwind, and is heated, making it suitable year-round.
