This stunning Georgian tower house makes the perfect retreat for celebrations and family gatherings with seven generous bedrooms individually styled with antique furniture and bold designs. Surrounded by acres of parkland and grounds, there are walks to be enjoyed straight from the door through open meadows and ancient woodlands. Pull on your bathing suits for a dip in the outdoor unheated ‘endless’ swimming pool with two jets or enjoy a game of croquet or rounders on the lawn. Enjoy leisurely suppers in the breakfast room where the large table seats 16 guests or intimate dinner parties in the formal dining room. Host a drinks party in the first-floor drawing room or a ceilidh in ‘The Pavilion’, a separate building suited to parties.

Approached via a sweeping tree-lined driveway, your castle comes complete with Gothic tower and pretty turret. Surrounded by tall firs and manicured lawns there is a sense of peace and seclusion. Your kitchen is ideal for cooking for large numbers. Prepare delicious dinners to share in the spacious breakfast room or smaller groups can dine around the antique table in the formal dining room, accommodating eight guests. After supper, head through to the games room for a competitive game of pool. The ground-floor chapel is a restful room where the painted ceiling brings a medieval quirkiness to the room. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where you will find two impressive reception rooms. The drawing room and has a cosy wood burner for cooler evenings relaxing in front of the blazing logs with a board game or watching TV. For socialising and special celebrations, the Great Hall has panelled walls, medieval painted ceilings and an open fire. Window seats look out onto the gardens and there is plenty of space for conversation, cocktails and dancing. Four of the generous bedrooms are on the first floor – a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with indulgent free-standing bath, a zip and link twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, a pretty twin bedroom and a lovely double room. There is also a bathroom and a shower room on this level. Continue up the spiral staircase to the second floor and a further three luxurious bedrooms. The double four-poster bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there are two sizeable family bedrooms, the first boasting a king-size sleigh bed, small single bed with additional pull-out bed and en-suite bathroom with separate shower. The second family bedroom has a wonderful Emperor bed, single bed with additional pull out bed and reached via three steps the fabulous en-suite bathroom with free-standing bath and separate shower. Venturing outdoors, there is garden seating for up to 18 guests to enjoy sociable alfresco meals and drinks late into the evening. Enjoy a dip in the swimming pool, play garden games on the extensive lawns or practise your serve on the table-tennis table in The Pavilion. There is ample parking at the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
