Casa Grande offers an eclectic mix of a grand English country grandeur with the rustic charm of the dusty Andalucian countryside. Built in typical colonial Edwardian style, the house forms part of a cork farm estate overlooking the bay of Gibraltar, with views across the Mediterranean sea to Morocco. Situated in a spectacular natural park between the exclusive resort of Sotogrande and the laid-back vibe of the sweeping beaches of Tarifa, it is the perfect place for an unforgettable holiday with family and friends.
The house is spacious and elegant with a sweeping mahogany staircase that leads up from a formal panelled drawing room. Here there is an open fire and views out through huge multi-aspect windows to the manicured gardens all around. There is also a sitting room and formal dining room, perfect for an elegant evening dinner as well as a more informal sitting room with leather sofas and TV. The bedrooms follow a similar style with high ceilings and exquisite period bathrooms.
The house sleeps 18 guests across 10 bedrooms, 3 with en-suite facilities. It has everything that you could need for a relaxing holiday with a gourmet-style kitchen, perfect for rustling up typical Spanish dishes with ingredients bought from the fabulous local markets. With ample things to do such as swim, play tennis in the house’s private court, as well as challenging your guests to a game of basketball or table tennis, you will be hard pushed to want to leave the property at all.
Outside, there are 3 terraces, 2 at the front of the house, just perfect for a drink under the late evening sun and a large dining terrace at the rear of the house, overlooking extensive lawned mature gardens.
A large private swimming pool with sun loungers is the focus of the outside area and here there is another BBQ and seating, perfect for a quick lunch. With its own tennis court and outside games room with views of the mountains, as well as ample space to play basketball and football, there is very little more that this gorgeous property could offer.
