Leave the kids to play whilst you prepare dinner in the sociable kitchen/dining room. Well-equipped for feeding eight hungry mouths, this charming space puts cooking and dining in one handy space. Once everyone’s happily fed and watered, head up to the first floor to discover four inviting bedrooms. Wander down the road to discover Shanklin’s sandy beach, less than 500 metres away. Perfect for swimming, sunbathing and water sports, this delectable beach offers everything you need for a hot and sunny day. These golden shores do enforce a dog ban between May and September, but the quiet cove of Luccombe Bay (3 miles) is a nearby spot for canine companions to run free on the sand. Shanklin itself offers a selection of independent shops, a theatre (1 mile) and plenty of eateries to enjoy an evening out. Heading a little further afield, visit the Isle of Wight’s coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (8 miles) and enjoy long walks along the dramatic cliffs. Discover the National Trust spot of St Catherine’s Down and Knowles Farm (9.5 miles), where rolling fields of beautiful flora certainly deserve a visit.

This place is a little gem in an Amazing location, 5min walk to one of the best beaches on the IOW. 10 min walk to Shanklin Chine. 2 mins walk from the Hideaway for drinks and food. Parking outside is plenty (even in August Holidays), two bathrooms for a large group was great. We had 3 small kids and there were toys, games, kids cutlery and beds. This cottage is a beautiful space and there is plenty of it. Lovely sitting room, a well-equipped kitchen and the added bonus of a fun games room. The location is fantastic and it's easy to park. Wonderful cottage, excellent location right near the cliff path, close to the shops. Comfortable accommodation for 7 adults, The cottage had been decorated for Christmas and there was a nice welcome gift on arrival. Owner was very helpful before and during our stay, and promptly answered any queries we had. They even allowed us to checkout a few hoRead moreurs late as our ferry had been delayed. One of the best houses I've ever rented. Beautifully furnished, very spacious and well equipped. Quiet location Close to coast path and less than 10 minutes walk to shops, station and bus stops.

I would highly recommend this house. At first we were reluctant as there wasn't a driveway but parking was always easy, right outside the property. The location was perfect for busy days on the beach. The house was fantastically equipped with everything you could possibly need. A really lovely house in a great location. Everything you need and some. We were a party of 6 adults and there was never a queue for the bathroom as there are 2, kitchen has everything you need and the games room is a great thing to have.
