Accessible via a winding country road lined with dry stone walls, this converted farmhouse is the perfect spot for exploring the surrounding English and Welsh countryside. Sleeping eight and with extra space for two little ones, the entire family will love exploring this picturesque home.

This classic country house maintains a traditional British charm throughout, and exposed beams, original fireplaces and narrow staircases all contribute to the magic of this property. Straight out of a fairy tale, kids will love exploring the nooks and crannies of this aged house. The heart of the house is the kitchen, where a traditional oil-fuelled Aga warms the core of the property. Sleepy early morning breakfasts will be cosily enjoyed in the spacious dining room, with heat from the Aga blasting out. The lounge is a similarly inviting space to relax, where cushy sofas face a wood burner. Curl up with one of the many books found at the property or enjoy a DVD with all the family. Young ones will adore hanging out in the dedicated playroom and can enjoy a game of table tennis or a play on the piano. Make sure to pack your balls and racquets, as you're more than welcome to play on the tennis courts during your stay. When everyone is suitably exhausted, the four bedrooms offer plentiful space to rest your head. A generous king-size master bedroom boasts an en-suite, ideal for mum and dad, and kids can cosy up in the two twin attic rooms set in the eaves of the house.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

SLEEPS 8 + 2: Four bedrooms; en-suite king-size master bedroom, a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom, an attic bedroom with four single beds (the extra two beds are for children only), the house is perfect for two families sharing.

RELAXING: Large sitting room with open fire, a basket of logs and kindling on arrival, large sofas, lots of local reads, 39" flat screen TV, DVD, Wi-Fi.

COOK UP A FEAST: Well equipped family kitchen with traditional oil fired Aga, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher. Farmhouse dining table.

KEEPING CLEAN: 3 bathrooms available. An en-suite bathroom with bath, basin and loo, a family bathroom with shower over bath, basin and loo, and a downstairs cloakroom with shower, basin and loo. Washing machine, tumble dryer available.

PLAY TIME: Large playroom perfect for children, with table tennis, piano and games. Outside you will find a tennis court with a view, great fun for cricket or tennis. Please bring balls and racquets.

OUTSIDE: Total privacy and stunning views, with large enclosed garden, terrace, barbeque & outdoor furniture in summer months. Stables and paddock available by separate arrangement with the owner.

BASICS: You’ll find enough in the farmhouse to get you started, including tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, herbs, salt, pepper, cleaning products, loo paper, firelighters. Towels & bedding are included. There is an iron and ironing board available

PETS: Up to three well behaved dogs are most welcome, downstairs only and paws off the furniture please.

If a truly interesting old house takes preference over luxury for your holiday, then this property is for you. A fascinating old house with stunning views. Garden, tennis court & games room were well used! We were multi generation party (suited all ages) but be aware that there are stairs up or down to a bathroom from twin bedroom & steep narrow stairs to attic room. Great pub within walking distance!

An old stone cottage with all the charm and quirks that you would expect. It's big and the kitchen with the aga is a focal point. The living room had a huge log fire, logs were included. there is also a play room with a piano and table tennis as well as many other games to keep you entertained. An amazing characterful house with lovely grounds, and fabulous views. We had a wonderful family holiday only enhanced by superb bank holiday weather which meant we could breakfast outside and make full use on the tennis court and lovely gardens.
