Sleeps 13+2 This grand detached former farmhouse is set in a rural location near to the town of Radstock and with village amenities to be found in nearby Kilmersdon. Great walking and cycling routes can be found surrounding the property, taking in the verdant landscape that this area is renowned for. The World Heritage site of Bath, famed for its Roman heritage and Georgian architecture, lies ten miles to the north and offers a wide variety of cultural, leisure, sports and shopping facilities. To the south you will find the cathedral city of Wells and town of Frome, ensuring there is no shortage of things to do.
From the parking area a stone path leads you to the front door, which opens into a spacious and welcoming entrance hall. The warming open fire and original flagstone floors are sure to make you feel right at home. The versatile accommodation is quirky in layout, with many changes of level, beams and uneven floors giving a hint to its age. To the left of the hallway is a bright and airy lounge, with a feature fireplace, window seat and door to the garden. Just opposite is the spacious dining room with stairs rising to the first floor. Leading on from here is a charming country kitchen, which is equipped with an AGA, fridge/freezer and microwave. Also leading from the entrance hall is a separate WC and a second flight of stairs also taking you to the first floor. Here you will find a bedroom with both a double and single bed, decorated in calming colours. There is also a beautiful double room. On the same floor is a stunning bathroom with roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. There is another beautiful bedroom with beams and vaulted ceiling containing both a king-size and a double bed (plus a sofa bed suitable for 1 adult - made up on request). From the landing a set of steep and winding cottage style stairs lead to the second floor where you will find a single bedroom plus a large bedroom furnished with a king-size bed, a single bed and a sofa bed (which can be made up on request) with TV/DVD and an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.
Heading outside from the lounge you will firstly find an inviting terrace with table and chairs. Ideally positioned tucked behind the house it’s the perfect space to enjoy a meal, or perhaps a dip in the hot tub. Beyond is a large enclosed lawn with enough room to accommodate the whole family. To the front of the property is a large parking area for six vehicles.
