If you’re looking for a slightly longer walk, join the nearby Tarka Trail, which is also a great choice for cyclists. The North Devon coast is just a short distance away and long stretches of golden sand at Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe. For a slice of local history, head to the town of Great Torrington, otherwise known as the ‘Cavalier Town’ from the civil war of 1646. Other nearby attractions include the traditional fishing village of Clovelly, Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor. As you approach the property along a country lane and through the grounds of Barns Farm you have impressive and far reaching views of Dartmoor.
