A little pocket of paradise, this manor house is surrounded by glorious secluded gardens and offers the perfect spot for a break on the Isle of Wight. Spacious both inside and out, the property has everything you'll need for getting a couple of families together, including an ideal sleepover bedroom for young kids.

With huge windows and high ceilings throughout, light streams into this property and offers remarkable views of the all-encompassing gardens. Decorated with classic British charm in mind, the house is a home-from-home and you'll no doubt settle right in. An open-plan kitchen/diner provides a fabulous family hub, and a large range oven and fridge/freezer will no doubt excite your family's designated chef. Make time in the evening to sit down and enjoy a family meal whilst taking in the glorious garden views from the dining room window. There's plenty of space for all to relax across two lounge areas, both of which offer TV/DVD players. The larger of the two has a wood burner that warms the room throughout. Head up to bed and you'll find four spacious bedrooms. Two king-size rooms are perfect for the mum and dads of the group, a twin is ideal for older kids and a triple bedroom with bunk bed and single cabin bed is made for a gang of excited young ones! Whilst this property is the perfect bolthole all year around, we must admit it does shine in the summer months. The vast private garden offers a sunny terrace, large grassy areas and even a stream rippling through. Please be aware that the stream in the garden is unfenced, so children do need to be closely supervised and access is not permitted over the stream. Enjoy the BBQ and outdoor furniture and host a wonderful midsummer party.

You'll also find yourself a mere 2 miles away from one of the island's most popular holiday destinations, Shanklin. This charming seaside town feels like a step back in time, with its old village full of thatched buildings, independent gift shops and unique tea rooms. As it's just 2.5 miles from the beautiful sandy Shanklin Beach, you'll no doubt find yourself spending a lot of time there. The stunning sandstone cliffs offer a remarkable backdrop, and you can also partake in a bit of sailing, surfing, windsurfing or paddleboarding in the calm Channel waters. All of this is only made better by the island's delicate micro-climate which sees much more sunshine than mainland England. Don't forget your bucket and spade!

Amazing house with everything, all kitchen equipment & a chest full of family games! Highly recommend this house for a family holiday, the garden space was perfect & nearby footpaths for walking. The red squirrels who visited were a highlight too!

The house is lovely with a lot of character. The garden is large and beautiful; ideal for sitting in or playing outside games. On the downside, the seating in the kitchen is not comfotable with church pew style benches and we would have liked a bigger fridge/freezer. Normally is 'luxury properties' you would expect a welcome pack (at least a pint oRead moref milk!), but there was a welcome cleaning pack - very unusual. Note from the owner: there is a full size fridge/freezer provided. Hide

A spacious, well kept property with a large lounge and a useful separate little snug. The bathrooms and bedrooms suited our needs, as a multigenerational group of 6 adults and 1 toddler, 1 baby. We used and enjoyed the patio and garden, ideal for morning coffee. The peaceful location of the house is practical for exploring the island, nothing is veRead morery far away on the Isle of Wight.
