A mere 300-metre walk through the picturesque village of Colyford will take you to a riverside pub on the edge of the East Devon AONB, the perfect spot to treat yourself to a drink or a bite to eat and without the worry of having to drive home. From this point on you are surrounded by remarkable Devonshire countryside, including the 40-mile East Devon Way walking route that's famed for its wonderful landscape and scenery. If the kids prefer a day riding the waves, then head 2 miles south to the seaside spot of Seaton. On offer here is a beautiful mile-long pebble beach that makes up the fascinating Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Bring your sports gear with you or borrow kayaks and paddleboards from the beachfront hire centre, before wandering into Seaton to grab something to eat. The town also offers more tourist information about this Jurassic zone at the Seaton Jurassic museum.

Fabulous garden and courtyard which are very secure for children and dogs as well as table tennis table and table football in one of the barns for when it rains. Beautiful six bedroom thatched cottage set in grounds which include mini tennis courts football pitch lots of grassy areas. Sun traps to enjoy an evening drink.

The cottage offers lots of space for family groups, and the garden is a children's paradise. A very relaxing space, with two lounges ideal for adults and children to do their own thing. Nearby beaches not too crowded, and Lyme Regis only a few miles away offering a good variety of places to visit.

Highlight of the property is the extensive and immaculately maintained garden, totally secured from the adjacent main road, where the children could run about or ride bikes or play games freely, with lovely features such as The Den and the play house. Choice of outdoor seating areas to catch the sun should it appear at different times of the day. This is a wonderful property for a large group. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and can accommodate a number of family requirements.Kitchen is well equipped. A good selection of toys and games for children, plus there is additional equipment in the garden and barn to occupy them on wet or dry days. The welcome hamper is very generous.

We had a fantastic time at Woodmans Stoop. Plenty of room, loads of games, table tennis, badminton etc. Well equiped kitchen. Fabulous gardens with plenty of seating. Loads of character. lovely beaches to visit nearby ( our favourite was Lyme Regis). Lovely coastal trails. Only downside was lack of footpaths which for us meant we had to drive everwRead morehere. Lovely cottage, really suitable for families. Great kitchen and the owner even arranged to bring a chair downstairs so x6 adults could sit in the lounge. One bedroom has a small bed, only suitable for a child. Garden amazing, with outside seating!

This is a wonderful cottage, in a great location. Its very comfortable to stay and has all the facilities you would need. The upstairs, the bed rooms are all connected, but they do have doors. If you are in the middle bedroom - you would need to go through other rooms to get downstairs.

The house was beautiful, clean and well equipped with an amazing garden. The kids loved playing out there and spent most of the weekend in the garden. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a fab time. Great house for two families. We only left to go to the supermarket and take the dogs for a walk so not sure about the surrounding areas. The house and garden were absolutely beautiful, full of nooks and crannies which the children loved, and delightful surprises at every turn. So much light and airy space to spread for a family of 8 adults and 2 children. This was a beautiful cottage in stunning grounds. There were so many extras in the property we had every thing we needed. The playroom was stocked with good condition toys and games as well.we needn't have taken any. We stayed with our children their husbands and two small grand children and a dog. We will definitely book again.

A beautiful, well-equipped cottage. We had two toddlers who were very well catered for with indoor toys and outdoor play equipment. Lovely gardens and ample parking space. The owner had thought of everything to make life easy and comfortable. Thoroughly recommend.
