Step outside your front door and onto the shores of Loch Fyne. Pause and take stock of the spectacular unspoilt scenery that wraps itself around Scotland’s longest sea loch. As you can imagine, this area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with nearby activities including cycling, walking, kayaking, and fishing.
The traditional county town of Inveraray is 12 miles from the property, set on the banks of the loch. The town has a great range of independent shops and a whole host of eateries serving delicious produce from across Argyll. Take time to potter around its picturesque streets to marvel at the stunning Georgian architecture and visit the fascinating jail and courthouse to soak up a slice of history.
Just outside the town is Inveraray Castle. This grand stately home makes a lovely family day out. Explore its grand rooms and admire the beautiful artefacts and period furniture, before sharing a picnic in the extensive grounds overlooking the water.
If you fancy something slightly more high-octane, head to Argyll Adventure (10.5 miles). The activity centre is set on the shores of the loch and offers horse riding, paintballing, crossbow, and laser tag.
