This amazing property boasts everything you would need for a family holiday, from the enormous outside space and the stylish inside space, plus something for all the family.

This magnificent barn conversion is the ultimate rural retreat for larger groups of up to ten friends and family, who are looking for that extra special home for their break. Located within 4 acres of private grounds, it boasts five spacious bedrooms and plenty to keep guests of all ages entertained, including a games room with a bar and pool table, as well as an outdoor children’s play area and tennis courts. It’s also just 4.5 miles from the stunning Lake District National Park, making it a great base for explorers and lovers of the great outdoors.

Dating back to the 1800s, this former mill is one of six which once supported the market town of Penrith, half a mile away. It features many period touches which give a nod to its long history. The Victorian side of the property hosts a ground-floor twin bedroom and wet room, while upstairs there are a further three bedrooms all enjoying views over to Mayburgh Henge. Back downstairs and entering the country cottage area of this charming home, you’ll find the characterful kitchen with open-plan dining room, which is where guests with a love of cooking will be in their element. The large wooden dining table can comfortably seat all your group as you enjoy long and leisurely meals or more formal dining experiences. The spacious living room is a welcome retreat after a busy day of exploring, while an original staircase leads up to the gallery with an additional living area and quiet area for reading or watching the world go by. The fifth and final bedroom, a double, is also located on this level. Just off from the living room, you’ll find a large conservatory with a pool table, darts and a gaming table with 60 retro games. Keeping the party going will be no trouble at all with a bar and concertina doors which open out onto another patio area, where you’ll find table tennis as well. The playroom also hosts computer games as well as a Ferrari-driving steering wheel. Stepping outside, explore the beautiful grounds or perhaps have a game of tennis, while the kids enjoy the play area.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £300 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.
