Ideal for two small families wanting a seaside holiday in the glorious Isle of Wight, this unique property perfectly sleeps eight in two double rooms and two singles – comfortably hosting four adults and four kids. The ‘upside-down' nature of the house ensures glorious views from the first-floor lounge and a suntrap balcony for evening drinks.

On arrival, you'll find a contemporary property surrounded by lawn, an excellent spot for young ones to play. Head straight upstairs on entrance, where the lounge area and kitchen can both be found on the first floor. The comfy living room comes with a 50 inch Smart TV and offers plenty of space for relaxing on the sofas and a stunning sea view reaches right out across the Channel. Opposite, you'll find an open-plan kitchen and dining space, where a generous dining table provides space to entertain in close proximity to the kitchen. Feed younger children with ease without having to leave the kitchen, or head onto the wonderous balcony and dine alfresco. This first floor offers one double bedroom with large windows and a sea view that you'll dream of waking up too, whilst the further double and two cosy twins can be found on the ground floor, one of the twin rooms has a TV.

Whilst relaxing in your garden, be sure to keep an eye out for the Isle of Wight's resident wildlife, and don't be surprised to see an owl or red squirrel during your stay! When it's time to go to the beach, don't forget your buckets and spades, as you can access Steephill Cove on foot (400 metres). It is one of the Isle of Wight's best-kept secrets, a beachside spot reminiscent of innocent days gone by. You won't find an arcade game or greasy burger here, but exciting rockpools, idyllic sandy beaches and freshly caught fish. Check out the seasonal crab shed on the seafront and watch as fishermen haul their daily catch onto shore. Whilst heading towards the nearby town of Ventnor, you must stop off at the popular botanic garden (0.5 miles), before continuing onto the bustling seaside resort just 1.5 miles away. Here you'll find your classic seaside fix, with an arcade-filled pier and unique boutique shops, before heading back to the tranquillity of Steephill Cove for a spot of sunbathing. For another exciting day out, head deep into the Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and explore the rugged cliffs at Woody Bay (1.5 miles).

We had a lovely stay at Western Lines. Well equipped and clean, fabulous views out to the English Channel and a lovely garden to enjoy too. Just a short walk to the lovely Steephill Cove and also the Botanical gardens. Ventnor can be reached either by walking along the road or via the coast path. Made for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday
