Famous for its close proximity to popular golf courses, historic attractions and stunning natural landscapes, the town itself has plenty to delight guests of all ages. Birthplace of J.M Barrie, Kirriemuir has several attractions inspired by the creator of Peter Pan. The late author himself opened the mysterious Camera Obscura in 1930, which boasts superb views of the countryside. Remember to pack your camera and walking boots as the scenic trails are a real treat, particularly the walk around Glen Isla and the Reekie Linn Waterfall 6 miles away. The Loch of Lintrathen 4 miles away, is home to an abundance of birdlife and a beautiful place to while away an afternoon.
