Located just a short walk from the South West Coast Path, you can look out to Lundy Island and walk along the coast to nearby Lee Bay with its sandy beach. Ilfracombe town centre is also within walking distance, with numerous shops, pubs, restaurants and small attractions, see Damien Hirst’s Verity at the harbour, and don’t miss the beautiful Tunnels Beaches and the many rockpools. Excellent surfing, kite surfing, body boarding and stand-up paddle boarding can be found at the local beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton. With the surrounding coves and cliffs there are some great coasteering opportunities available. Exmoor National Park, with its challenging hills and rewarding hikes, is just a short drive away.
Built in the Victorian period with boutique styling throughout, this four-storey property is packed with great facilities. Step into the entrance hall into the ground floor from the car park where you can hang coats and store sandy shoes after a day on the beach. Heading down the stairs to the lower ground floor is where you will discover the first of the accommodation, which has a variety of social spaces perfect for all occasions. There is a large lounge, with a TV where you can enjoy a movie night in. Neighbouring the lounge is the games room, complete with table football as well as an array of books and toys. Guests can cook up a storm in the semi-commercial kitchen before enjoying a decadent meal together in the spectacular dining room, which has space to seat everyone with integrated sound system. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. From here head into the snug which features a bar, complete with a fridge, glasses and shakers, where you can bring your own supplies and enjoy a cocktail or two while relaxing on the comfy sofas. Heading back up the stairs to the ground floor are the first of the nine bedrooms, which all have TV's. There are two four-poster double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms and WCs on the ground floor. Heading upstairs again to the first floor are a further four bedrooms. The comprise of one king-size with en-suite bathroom with hand held shower over bath and WC, two doubles with en-suite shower rooms and WCs and one twin with en-suite shower room and WC which is adjoining one of the double bedrooms. On the second floor are the remaining three bedrooms, one king-size with en-suite shower room and WC and two family rooms, both with a king-size bed and an additional single bed with en-suite bathrooms with shower over bath and WC.
Heading outside there is a large sloping garden, please note it is steep in places, split over four levels for you to explore, with terrace and babbling brook. Please note young children must take care. Revel in the marvellous valley views, sit back and dine alfresco with the brick-built charcoal BBQ, and at night, you can even toast marshmallows beneath the stars with your very own firepit. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool, where children can make a splash whatever the weather. To the front of the property there is off-road parking for up to ten cars.
