Step up to the porch and marvel at the fantastic boot room where you can leave outdoor gear ready for tomorrow’s adventure before making your way into the lounge. Sink down and snuggle up by the wood burner or take a seat and gather competitive guests for a game or two before moving through to the gorgeous heart of the home. The kitchen/diner is a space like no other and exudes an abundance of country charm and sophisticated style. Experiment with flavour in the locally-handmade shaker kitchen before being seated at the oak refectory table and savouring each mouthful. After dinner, enjoy time in the fresh air and raise a glass to al fresco sundowners in the fabulous garden which boasts views of Tretower Court and Castle and has plenty of places to sit with your four-pawed friend. Say goodnight and climb the original spiral stone staircase to the first floor where four bedrooms are decorated with flamboyant wallpaper, antique furniture and oil paintings, or head into the annexe where a twin bedroom awaits and you can prep your own breakfast when you rise. The Brecon Beacons National Park is a wonderful destination for those after some time in the countryside. After checking out Tretower Tower and Castle, venture further afield and make the 7.5-mile trip to Llangorse Lake, the largest natural lake in South Wales, where you can wander the water’s edge, see the Crannog and visit the activity centre. From the largest lake to the highest peak in South Wales, take the adventurous among you to Pen-y-Fan where a climb to the top is rewarded with panoramic views 886m above sea level.

We really enjoyed our week. The cottage was very well equipped and flexible for our party which included adult children with a friend each. The location was perfect for walking, with great views, and just a short drive to town facilities.

The cottage was so beautiful, full with character features and decor. It was also in such a beautiful location, we all were so much mesmerized. We had a really comfortable and wonderful stay. A fabulously equipped house, wonderfully located and decorated throughout to a very high standard. The Cwtch is equally comfortable and is a quirky but very comfortable addition...with the added advantage of the lambs sleeping outside the window ! Highly recommended.

Ty Sunsir is a beautiful cottage in a lovely hamlet within the Brecon Beacons. The cottage is much larger than the photos suggest and is beautifully decorated. Perfect house for a large group, loads of space inside and out. Really well equipped plus beautifully furnished and decorated, and set in a lovely location. There is nothing to dislike about this property at all!!

We had an awesome family break in this beautiful cottage. Our party consisted of 6 adults and 4 teenagers, and all were catered for. There is plenty of space in the cottage both inside and out. We were blessed with beautiful weather so spent most of our time in the garden which is lovely. We stayed at Ty Sinsir for 1 week as two families with 5 children between us. The house was extremely well equipped and the host had thought of everything. Including the little things like dishwasher tablets, washing up gloves. The bed rooms were all very comfortable, with plenty of space for all.
