There’s also a private hot tub and a sun trap of a garden for socialising and entertaining. Head to the nearby National Showcaves Centre for Wales (9 miles), a fabulous family day out exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park from a different angle.

The interior of this superb property is spacious, bright and sumptuous. Enjoy cooking and socialising in the large kitchen, which has a breakfast bar and separate seating. The kitchen has all the mod cons you’d need for a group holiday including a large range cooker and a dishwasher. There’s a separate dining room and a living room, plenty of space for the whole group to come together and socialise. An organ and guitar are also available for the musical kind. You’ll also find a downstairs wet room with walk-in shower, ideal for less able guests. Four large bedrooms, one of which is an en-suite, and a further family bathroom are upstairs. All bedrooms have TVs, perfect for taking some time out and unwinding.

The private garden has a six-seater hot tub, sun loungers, a BBQ and garden furniture for when you want to enjoy a meal alfresco. There is ample parking available to the front of the property and your nearest pub is less than 1 mile away.

The small village of Cwmtwrch has a couple of country pubs and a shop for picking up your holiday essentials. This property is in an enviable location as it is well placed to access both the beaches of South Wales and the highs of the countryside and Brecon Beacons. You won’t have to travel far to reach walking and cycling routes (4 miles) taking you into the heart of the hills. Admire the cascading Henrhyd Falls ( 8 miles) a 90-foot-high waterfall tumbling into the wooded gorge below. The city of Swansea is 15 miles away from the property, head there for some city living or visit Port Talbot’s magnificent sandy beach, 19.5 miles. The pretty coastal town of Llanelli is 23 miles away, there are lots of independent shops here, as well as a few local restaurants to enjoy. It has a fabulous beach too and is dog friendly for if you are holidaying with your four-legged friends.

We had a lovely week, never holidayed in Wales before, definitely coming back. Steve was lovely and his neighbours were so friendly when I was walking my dogs.

We stayed in August 2023. The property is superb and very well equipped with everything you would expect. Bedrooms are a very good size and the extra large beds are very comfortable. If you are travelling with a dog then the both the front and rear areas are very secure and dog friendly. Steve (the owner) is very friendly and extremely helpful and Read moregiven that he lives next door means that he is always on hand for advice on the local area. This is such a comfortable and luxurious place to stay. Really well equipped including robes and towels for the hot tub, and very dog friendly too. We had a great week despite a lot of rain. It's a good base for walking, waterfalls, Brecon Beacons, and beaches. Owner on hand next door if you have any questions. We'll be back!

This is a very comfortable and well equipped property which is in a very good location to explore the Brecon Beacons, the Gower peninsula and the rest of south central Wales. Steve, the owner who lives in the adjoining property, is very attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. We would certainly recommend this cottage.

Very clean and well equipped house, Steve is a great host and very helpful and even went out and purchased an additional stair gate. Comfy seats both indoor and outdoor as well as a great hot tub the table tennis was a nice surprise and very popular with our family of nine with lots of space for us all to chill out in.

Fantastic house and host next door. Handsome retriever Dafydd always there to say hello. Would recommend and will definitely be going back. So much to see and do, only down fall was 1 week was not enough time to do/see everything

extremely well equipped, comfortable, clean house, warm and lots of parking. Table tennis and hot tub were a boost, very well situated to reach beaches and hills, would return. Owners living in next house were helpful and welcoming, even offering to meet the food delivery when we were stuck in a traffic jam.
