Grade II Listed barn, with vaulted ceilings, exposed stonework, beams and trusses, on this rural idyll with ponies, pigs, hens and sheep, play area and indoor play barn with easy access to the Cornish coast.

One of four properties set within 20 acres of farmland, this fabulous barn conversion sleeps up to ten guests and enjoys a peaceful and idyllic location that will appeal to families and friends seeking a true rural retreat. Step out of the front door for long walks along the footpaths that lead directly to Bodmin Moor or take the opportunity to feed the resident animals. The quiet coves of the North Cornwall coast are within easy reach, including the picturesque Bossiney Cove (7 miles) for sandcastle building and paddling in the cool waters. Further afield is the popular tourist town of Bude (14 miles) with its choice of cafes and restaurants, mini-golf course and leisure centre with indoor swimming pool. Book a group surf lesson and learn to catch the waves like a professional, enjoy a swim in the famous tidal pool, or row your way along the canal in a fleet of boats to one of the welcoming pubs along the towpath for a hearty lunch.

Blending original features with contemporary style, your holiday home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere encouraging you to switch off and relax from the moment you step through the front door. With exposed beams, bright local artwork and a traditional wood burner set against a painted exposed stone wall, your spacious lounge/diner is the perfect place to spend time together whatever the time of day. Dine at the long table that sits in sunlight beside the large windows or curl up on one of the comfortable sofas to watch TV or chat over a mug of hot chocolate. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped galley kitchen where you will find everything you need for a home-from-home stay. At the end of the day, retreat to one of the five cosy bedrooms, each retaining the building’s original charm through exposed beams and brightly coloured soft furnishings. Stepping outside, feel at one with your surroundings as you sit and enjoy the sunshine in your private enclosed garden or dine alfresco at the picnic bench. Guests are welcome to enjoy the farm’s 20 acres of grounds, including the fire-pit area with seating for lazy evenings under the stars. Younger guests can burn off energy in the shared indoor and outdoor play areas, while guests of all ages can have fun in the games room. There is ample off-road parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We booked Stables and Shepherd's Fold for a big 15 and had a fantastic time. Stables in particular is brilliant for large parties because the lounge seats lots of people, and there are plenty of bathrooms (although ensuites are small). The games room was great for the children and we all played table tennis in the courtyard. A safe environment meanRead moret that the smaller children could roam around without us worrying too. Would definitely recommend. Hide

A beautiful secluded spot with a very clean, well equipped large cottage. The private garden with bbq would have been fantastic had the weather been better. The cottage was lovely as were the hosts. A fantastic location in a quiet, private spot. The host/owners couldnt have been nicer and more helpful and were always available to deal with any queries. A wonderful cottage; the owners have everything covered. Very well equipped and comfortable. The freshly baked scones and clotted cream were a bonus. The cottage is in a superb location to visit the north Cornwall coast. Totally recommend this property for a relaxing holiday.

Ideally located for visiting loads of places. The old airfield was a surprise, good for jogging and walking. Plenty of room for kids to run around and they enjoyed feeding the animals ( nice touch). Hosts very friendly and helpful especially jump starting the car and letting us charge it. I enjoyed the log fire.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with a blocked toilet that was looked at within minutes of reporting and fixed whilst we were out for a few hours. The children enjoyed feeding the animals and the outdoor play area. The owners recommended beaches and walks that were best suited for my party.

This was our second holiday there after being there last year. And yet again Andrew & Angela made us most welcome, and made sure everything was in place due to the restrictions in place.
