This tranquil former farmhouse on the Isle of Arran is an idyllic, beachside retreat, with fabulous views and opportunities for walking, cycling and wildlife watching.

Perched above the sandy beach at Kilmory, this renovated farmhouse offers a peaceful escape for families, friends and even creatives in need of a beautiful getaway. Located on Arran’s south coast, the area is a tranquil haven for wildlife while being only 8 miles from amenities in the nearby villages of Blackwaterfoot and Whiting Bay. Back at the property, underfloor heating and a gas feature fire create a cosy atmosphere for relaxing nights in, while those spectacular panoramic sea views are breathtaking all year round.

Inside, this period farmhouse has been modernised to create bright and spacious accommodation that’s perfect for modern-day open-plan living. The fantastic kitchen/diner offers plenty of space for entertaining, with contemporary fittings, a large American-style fridge/freezer and stylish dining table. After mealtimes, retreat to the spacious lounge, which is positioned on the first floor to maximise the spectacular sea views. With a cosy area for curling up in front of the TV and a separate seating area for getting lost in a good book or playing a board game, this room is ideal for multi-generational parties. The four beautifully decorated bedrooms are spread out across the ground floor and first floor and share two stylish bathrooms together with an en-suite. Stepping outside, a sunny private patio with lawn area affords breathtaking panoramic sea views towards Campbeltown in the west and the Ayrshire coast in the east - not to mention spectacular starry displays at night.

Please note there is a refundable £150 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Stunning location with easy access to the beach below, we found the house to be spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Child friendly and a lovely base from which to explore the beautiful island.

We had a great family holiday at Torlinn Beach House. What looks like, and was presumably an old farmhouse, has been transformed to a very modern interior, carefully designed, well-equipped and very comfortable. The location, high above the beach and looking out on Alisa Craig was perfect for everyone, especially as we had great weather (not guaranRead moreteed!) but we liked the large living space. Hide

Superb location, torrylin beach beautiful and a lovely walk up to cairn and through wood to velo cafe and a little playground at kilmory. House very comfy, well stocked kitchen equipment. Heating and hot water worked perfectly unlike previous reviewers. Hoping to return next summer.

Excellent cottage in lovely position to be able to enjoy the tucked away beach. Worked really well for 2 families to share as so much space.

We had a very good time in Torrlinn Beach House even if the weather was terrible because it is a comfortable cottage in amazing location. The lodge is very well equipped. However, the lack of heating has made our stay much less nice than expected. Also it was impossible to take more than 3 showers in a raw which is a bit short for a 8 sleeps house.Read more Finally, when it was rainy and windy water was entering through the closed windows. We were expecting a bit better for the price we paid. Hide

The property had everything that is needed for maximum number of people. Its clean and warm. Situated right near beach providing lovely fresh air. We read a previous review, which indicated that it is necessary to have sufficient provisions as nearest food shops are over 20 minutes away.
