This contemporary, property is located at the heart of the village of Charlestown, famous for its Georgian port and more recently as the location for the TV series Poldark. The village is a fine example of a Georgian harbour with the South West coastal path passing through, and maintains a small fleet of tall ships, as well as an interesting shipwreck museum. The location could not be better for exploring this area of south Cornwall, as the town of St Austell with its shops and supermarkets is just a ten-minute drive away, as is The Eden Project. For those wishing to explore the coast, the attractive seaside towns of Fowey and Mevagissey are both within a 30-minute drive. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are another attraction close by to the property or why not take a trip to the National Trust property of Lanhydrcok which has rental bikes and good cycle trails; only 20 minutes away.

As soon as you enter this three-storey property, you will feel immediately relaxed. The ground floor is home to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is perfect for enjoying some family time, either relaxing in front of the smart TV in the lounge area or enjoying a meal together at the large, extendable dining table. The sleek kitchen has everything you will need to enjoy your stay including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. To the first floor, guests will find two of the four bedrooms, both of which have double beds, each with its own en-suite shower room. One of these rooms also benefits from its own TV. The further two bedrooms are located on the second floor and comprise of zip-and-link super-king-size beds which can be made up as twins should you so wish. (Please request this at time of booking). These rooms are also both en-suite, each with its own shower and WC and one with TV. An additional cloakroom with WC can be found on the ground floor.

Outside the property benefits from small enclosed gardens to both the front and rear of the property, the rear being the main outdoor space, with its decked area and outdoor furniture. There is off-road parking for two cars, as well as a space for one more additional car.

Lovely well furnished property . 3 parking spaces . I would imaging the table for eating a bit tight if there were 8 of you staying but fine for us . Quite a steep climb up the road back from Charlestown harbour but no problem for fitter or if you take your time if not so fit !

Top Mast is a lovely house, really well positioned to walk into Charlestown. The house is decorated in a modern, tasteful style and came with everything we needed for a comfortable stay including a Smart TV for us to log in to Netflix :-) Its a 10-15 walk down into Charlestown, with a slightly more energetic walk back up the hill (perfect to work oRead moreff dinner). No bath which might be an issue for some but we were happy with the en-suite showers. Hide

Great property for 1 or 2 small families to share, or one large. Very clean and ample place to find your own space or relax together. Short walk to lovely restaurants and Charlestown harbour and short drive to Carlyon bay which has a nice beach. Highly recommend the property. Was slightly pricey but you get what you pay for.

This house is a beautiful property - very well decorated and maintained. its a short walk from the harbour where there are places to eat and drink. I would highly recommend this for larger groups - all the bedrooms are spacious and en suite, allowing for privacy and comfort.

Topmast was a very comfortable holiday home, very well equipped with everything we needed, all furnishings and bedding excellent. Located in great area for visiting other parts of Cornwall. Only draw back for us was uphill walk back from the harbour but for those younger and healthier no problem..

Well appointed house in middle of quiet housing estate. Easy to access nearby places of interest. Local pubs & restaurants first class. Within walking distance but return walk up steep hill.
