Occupying an idyllic setting in the tranquil village of Syderstone, this property sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms, making it a great choice for that special family holiday or reunion with friends. With country houses, nature reserves, sandy beaches, market towns and seaside resorts, there are lots of memory-making opportunities. After a busy day, head home, open up the folding doors and relax in the garden. Alternatively, you may prefer to head up to the glass-fronted crow’s nest with a cuppa and a book to steal a rare moment of peace.

Sympathetically renovated, original features have been seamlessly blended with contemporary design to add charm and character. Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and glimpses of brick walls sit perfectly alongside traditional furniture and vibrant soft furnishings to create a truly unique home. The first room you’ll come to is the cosy lounge with sofas and a wood burner. Leaving here, the house opens up to reveal a sprawling ground floor. The traditional-style kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up a feast, which you can then tuck into in the dining area. This is at the rear of the property and can open up to the garden. The ground floor also has another lounge area, a study, a shower room and two of the four gorgeous bedrooms. One of these is a king-size room and the other a double room with access to the garden. Upstairs, there is a further double room and a bunk bedroom for the kids. The family bathroom completes the accommodation with a roll-top bath (restricted height due to sloping ceilings).

Outside, there is a large garden for the children to play as well as a patio and garden furniture for adults to enjoy a glass of wine in the sun.

With the Wash National Nature Reserve and the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty both within 12 miles of this property, there are ample opportunities for long family walks together. For history lovers, be sure to practise your curtseys before visiting Sandringham Estate (12 miles) or for something closer, but no less spectacular, visit Houghton Hall and Gardens (4 miles). To the north and west of the property, there are lots of seaside resorts and sandy beaches to visit, such as Heacham and Hunstanton (13 miles), Wells-Next-the-Sea (9.5 miles), Blakeney (20.5 miles) and the historic market town of King’s Lynn (20 miles). For something extra special and for a taste of paradise, head to Scolt Head Island (10.5 miles), but be sure to check ferry times.

A very attractive cottage , well equipped with comfortable beds, with space for 6 people to spread out. Very pretty well kept garden and beautiful views from the lounge/diner. Reasonable wifi. The Crow's Nest was a great hit with the children.

Lovely property we had a few issues but hopefully these are easily sorted. Garden room a real sun trap which leads out onto a large secure garden,ours dogs loved it. We would certainly stay here again.

The cottage was great for two of us and our two dogs. The gardens are enclosed so our four-legged friends could not escape. The location is excellent in terms of being able to walk to the local common and also to drive to places like Brancaster, Wells, Holt and Sheringham. It was usually peaceful (the Air Force sometimes flew over at an unsociable Read morehour!) and the hammock in the back garden was especially welcome for lounging in the sun. The Wi-fi was also excellent. Wed definitely return. Hide

This was the perfect place for a large family, lots of rooms for everyone to have their own space. The facilities are excellent and the location is ideal for exploring all areas within north Norfolk

Really lovely cottage which is very well equipped and well kept. Our dog enjoyed the garden overlooking the horse paddocks. The location is good for Wells, Burnham Market, Brancaster etc. the only issue is that the local pub is closed and has been for over a year, so do not book if you would like this - it should be removed. The house was very coldRead more on arrival (9 degrees!) in Feb. Hopefully just a one off as noone in the week before us, but was not pleasant taking over a day to warm up the house. Hide

We enjoyed our stay during half term. The house was a good location for us - only about 15 mins from the bird-watching coast, and a few minutes to the main A-road, so easy to get to other places. We did struggle with the heating system (though that was probably us). The cottage for us was ideal as it was nice and quiet. You definitely need a car to get around in. There are plenty of places to explore the beaches are great from Hunstanton right through to Cromer.
