Property code: DC182

This property is located in the picturesque Lulworth Cove which is a quaint country village with local amenities. It is a fantastic base to explore the local area including historic 16th-century Lulworth Castle and its small children’s animal farm and the iconic Durdle Door - a limestone arch on a stretch of shingle beach where you can sunbathe or swim in the clear waters.

The heavy oak front door leads into a tiled hall with a cloakroom. On arrival you will encounter the kitchen with its feature fireplace, tiled floor and door to the garden. The kitchen comes equipped with an oven and hob, fridge, microwave, washing machine, freezer and dishwasher. The drawing room has some of the best period features including historic Norman arch and window seat and stone mullion windows. The views from this property are outstanding and extend throughout the vicarage. A beautiful marble fireplace and open fire make this room cosy and elegant. There is also a utility room on this level with a tumble dryer inside. A period staircase with high ceiling leads up to the first floor where there are two double bedrooms (one en-suite), a separate family bathroom and additional wet room. A more modern sitting room is here on the first floor with TV and comfortable furniture for relaxation. The second floor, set into the eaves, houses two further bedrooms one being a twin and the other a zip and link double. The property has low door frames and reduced ceiling height in eaves.

The outside area of this property is vast with many exquisite features. From the wrought iron gates to the property and the drive lined with box hedging and mature shrubs ensuring privacy for those using the property to the raised terrace which runs around the side of the building to the rear. From the terrace, there are eight steps down to the croquet lawn where you can partake in a game or two, and also a covered pond. For those wishing to dine outside, there is a comfortable seating area around the fire pit where you can enjoy food and drinks under the stars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £500 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Stunning location and a beautiful building with a lovely garden and plenty of room for our family of 8. Unfortunately some of the furniture and the available utensils etc need replacing and hygiene in bathrooms left a lot to be desired. The bedding in some of the rooms was disgusting....mattresses and pillows the worst I have ever seen. In the quieRead moret village of West Lulworth, it really is a fantastic property. 5 star prices for a 3 star stay. A small outlay and a good cleaner needed. Hide

The Vicarage is set in beautiful part of Lulworth. The garden is perfect as it has many parts to it, ideal for getting out of the sunshine or if you wanted to change your view.

Fantastic property in an amazing location on the Jurassic coast. Ideal for exploring all the region has to offer. The house itself is beautiful with tonnes of character. It's extremely well equipped and we arrived to a lovely present on the kitchen table for the first day. We were two families (kids 2 - 6) and the property was absolutely perfect. WRead moree'd highly recommend and look forward to returning. Hide

Our family party consisted of 6 adults and two children, aged 6 yrs and 3 yrs. The Old Vicarage is beautiful and has lots of beautiful artefacts and object d'art, but isn't really suitable for young children. We felt that the twin bedded room, on the 2nd floor, which is opposite a double room, was the obvious choice for the children as their parentRead mores could be in the double room opposite. To cross between the two rooms requires passing the un-gated top of the stairs. A potential night time hazard Hide

Had a fabulous holiday! Beautiful and very comfortable accommodation, perfectly situated with amazing views. Local grocery shop, pub and cafe. Beach within walking distance and of course Durdle Door very close by. Various eateries and dog friendly places to visit. (Just be aware that infrequently there was the sound of gunfire from military ranges.Read more This was in the distance and our dog was completely unbothered by it). We would definitely book again. Super house and location, living areas a treat.

Beautiful four bedroom house. I should have read the description more closely as the third bathroom is on the ground floor, and is actually a shower in a utility area, attached to the downstairs toilet. That is my only negative. The configuration of the house makes it more suited to a family rather than three couples. The house is in a wonderful pRead moreosition, a short walk from Lulworth, which offers some great restaurants. Hide
