We had a lovely stay, and found the house to be generally comfortable & spacious. The location is beautiful and peaceful with lots of things to do and see nearby - Skye Weavers, Neist Point for dolphin/whale spotting, Dunvegan Castle and garden, local cafes and restaurants were excellent. However, we were slightly disappointed by the level of cleanRead moreliness & maintenance in the bathrooms and kitchen. A bit of extra TLC and a deep clean would make this house the perfect spot for family RnR. Hide

The porperty was warm and welcoming. We appreciated the spacious kitchen / dining room and the log fire in the sitting room proved very effective in the chillier autumn evenings. The house comes well equipped for self cartering which we found important in these days of more limited options to eat out due to Covid etc. Overall we felt very comfortabRead morele in the house and enjoyed our stay in Glendale. The house is well positioned on the hillside to enjoy views from some of the windows. Hide

Awesome and comfortbale stay in a remote part of Skye but with full amenities like shops, cafes, and restaurants close-by (book in advnace). A great area with local sites like Neist point, Dunvegan castle, and Coral beach - plus Macleod's tables made a great one day hike (watch out for deers and deer ticks that can have Lyme disease). But also greaRead moret to explore the Cuillin hills, Portree, and the Quirraing/Old Man on day trips. Would love to come again soon. No Wifi! - but was being fixed. Hide

I cannot recommend The Old Manse enough - I never wanted to leave! It is so picturesque and a short walk from both a lovely cafe and a small but well-stocked grocery store. Definitely remote, but all the more special for it. We instantly felt at home and cannot wait to return!
