Escape to the Isle of Skye with a stay in this newly renovated holiday cottage located in one of the prettiest parts of the island. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, the accommodation is warm and welcoming, complete with a woodburner in the cosy lounge, a fantastic kitchen with island for entertaining and separate dining room for enjoying family meals. With plenty to see and do in the local area, set out on long walks with breathtaking scenery at every step before tucking into a hearty meal at the Old School Restaurant in Dunvegan (7 miles).

Inside, the accommodation is modern with an open-plan layout. It has been tastefully furnished and fitted for family life. Prepare delicious meals in the large kitchen, where a central island with hobs makes for sociable entertaining and a large archway leads through to the dining room. After evening meals, retreat to the cosy lounge for a relaxing night spent beside the roaring woodburner or take to the TV room to watch your favourite programmes or films on the TV/DVD player. A utility area offers a handy space for storing wet clothes after long walks. There is a sofa bed in the lounge and a bathroom with overhead shower on the ground floor to accommodate guests of limited ability. Upstairs, two beautifully decorated bedrooms are furnished with inviting beds adorned in crisp White Company linen. Stepping outside, a fantastic private garden is the perfect spot for enjoying a summer picnic on the lawn.

Located in the idyllic hamlet of Glendale in the far north west of the Isle of Skye, this property is surrounded by acres of stunning moorland. Perfect for nature lovers, the steep cliffs of Glendale are home to thousands of sea birds, and this is one of the best places on the island to spot whales, dolphins, porpoises and basking sharks. For amenities, the village shop is perfect for stocking up on supplies, while the renowned restaurant, The Three Chimneys, is just 3 miles away and the Old School Restaurant at Dunvegan is just 7 miles away. Get back to nature with a wild swim in the Fairy Pools in Glenbrittle (29 miles), take to the water with a boat trip from Portree (29 miles) to see the white-tailed sea eagles and soak up some local history with a visit to Dunvegan Castle (7.5 miles).

A lovely spacious property in a beautiful location perfect for exploring Skye. Clean and comfortable with a log burner in the main lounge and a fabulous view from the window seat. We spent a few evenings playing games around the table in the large dining kitchen. The small nearby shop in Glendale is very well stocked and even offers weigh-your-own Read morerice, cereals, oils etc. Hide

Fantastic large, well equipped house in the beautiful setting of Glendale. Perfect location for discovering the north west of Skye and for relaxing in the Glen. This is a great family house and base for touring the island. It is well equipped with a very sociable kitchen/dining area and outside space. Plenty room for a large extended family.

Lovely home on the north west of the isle. Masses of kitchen crockery and appliances. Small well equipped store 10 minutes walk away. Recommend The Dunvegan restaurant for a meal out.

An amazing home and a real treat. So comfortable and cozy. Incredibly well supplied.more like staying with friends. Stunning views. Some fun getting there on single track roads through incredible views. Would have willingly stayed longer.

Superb contained home from home experience. Beautifully laid out accommodation, ample room. Bed linen is of a high standard and beds perfectly comfortable. Well stocked kitchen for cooking equipment. We had a lovely stay, and found the house to be generally comfortable & spacious. The location is beautiful and peaceful with lots of things to do and see nearby - Skye Weavers, Neist Point for dolphin/whale spotting, Dunvegan Castle and garden, local cafes and restaurants were excellent. However, we were slightly disappointed by the level of cleanRead moreliness & maintenance in the bathrooms and kitchen. The porperty was warm and welcoming. We appreciated the spacious kitchen / dining room and the log fire in the sitting room proved very effective in the chillier autumn evenings. The house comes well equipped for self cartering which we found important in these days of more limited options to eat out due to Covid etc. Overall we felt very comfortabRead morele in the house and enjoyed our stay in Glendale. Awesome and comfortbale stay in a remote part of Skye but with full amenities like shops, cafes, and restaurants close-by (book in advnace). A great area with local sites like Neist point, Dunvegan castle, and Coral beach - plus Macleod's tables made a great one day hike (watch out for deers and deer ticks that can have Lyme disease). But also greaRead moret to explore the Cuillin hills, Portree, and the Quirraing/Old Man on day trips. Would love to come again soon. No Wifi! - but was being fixed. Hide

I cannot recommend The Old Manse enough - I never wanted to leave! It is so picturesque and a short walk from both a lovely cafe and a small but well-stocked grocery store. Definitely remote, but all the more special for it. We instantly felt at home and cannot wait to return!
