Situated in the attractive village of West Lulworth, this charming four-bedroom cottage is close to the South West Coast Path and less than two miles from the famous stone arch of Durdle Door, making it the ideal property for families and friends, seeking a base from which to explore the Jurassic Coast. After a long day of outdoor exploration, curl up and enjoy each other’s company in front of the soothing heat of the wood burner or relax with a glass of wine in the sunroom. Stretch your legs on the village trail past the 17th-century cottages to feed the ducks in the millpond or take long walks along the pebble beach at nearby Lulworth Cove (1 mile) before stopping for refreshments in one of the village pubs.

Your holiday home is surrounded by wonderful views of the Binden Hills creating a peaceful environment for rest and relaxation. Combining stylish decor with original features and homely touches, the cottage has a warm and inviting feel throughout. Cook up a storm in the generous kitchen where you’ll find the oven and hob, making catering a breeze. Linger over your meals at the large table in the lounge/diner before retreating to the comfortable sofas for a glass of wine as the logs crackle in the wood burner or enjoy a quiet moment in the sunroom looking out across the garden. There’s a double with en-suite shower room and a king-size bedroom on this floor, both decorated in soothing shades. The family bathroom with freestanding bath is also on this floor. Upstairs are two charming bedrooms nestled in the eaves, one double with en-suite shower room and a pretty twin with en-suite bathroom. We had a great time here couldnt want for anything. Very close to the Castle Inn which had good food especially the Sunday roast! Enjoyed the lovely Lulworth Cove but would imagine in the summer holidays it would be a nightmare on the narrow road and the parking. Would be happy to return here.

Cosy, warm and welcoming. Comfortable beds, plenty of space downstairs, our favorite space was the sunny room, next to the kitchen, plus wood burner and with roomy L shaped sofa. Enjoyed watching the clouds pass by from the bath in the upstairs twin room.

Well-equipped and very comfortable house, with plenty of space in kitchen, living rooms and garden. Privacy, too, with all four bedrooms en suite. Great location for walking to beach at Lulworth Cove and for coastal walks too. We would return to The Old Forge without hesitation. (Were six adults, aged 45-80)
