A fabulous period property bursting with original features perfect for family gatherings or special celebrations in a peaceful rural location.

Plan your next big holiday in an idyllic rural setting within easy reach of attractive market towns and attractions the Welsh countryside is renowned for. This charming traditional longhouse offers comfortable dining and socialising space for up to 12 guests, and can be booked in conjunction with the neighbouring property to sleep even larger groups on special occasions. Handily located close to Llanwrtyd Wells within 19.5 miles of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you could soon be exploring the mountainous landscape and pausing for hearty meals at friendly village pubs.

Unique, comfortable and packed with olde world charm, this spacious property will make you feel as though you have stepped back in time from the moment you set foot inside. Beams, sloped ceilings and exposed stone create an enchanting ambience for a delightful teatime you’ll soon be enjoying around the kitchen table. Feast like kings in the dining room and retire with a nightcap to the sitting room to unwind by the wood burner. Steep cottage-style stairs lead up to the upper levels where you’ll find seven cosy bedrooms, each one thoughtfully styled and sharing a selection of washing facilities to suit your entire party including en-suites, shower rooms and a family bathroom. Wake up to the sound of birdsong and marvel at the views from your window, which are especially impressive from the bedrooms tucked within the eaves of the house – just take care on the very steep stairs. Children and teenagers will adore the separate TV and toys available in the smallest bedroom, which offers an idyllic hideaway to play and relax. Outside, the vast expanse of lawn is great for garden play whilst you sip cocktails on the patio or light the BBQ for supper, toasting marshmallows on the embers once the sky turns dark enough to see the spectacular array of stars.

Fantastic place to stay. We enjoyed a family Christmas with ten people, beautiful tree. So much space. Lots for younger family members. Big kitchen which is great when prepping Christmas Dinner. Would highly recommend.

A lovely old farmhouse, spotlessly clean, comfortable with a spacious, very well equipped kitchen. Ideal for families as there is a large sitting room with tv plus a large dining room with sofas for separate group activities. Comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Owners based nearby and very helpful.

This is a really lovely cottage and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. There was enough space for us all to eat or sit together on really comfortable sofas, but also space to be apart if we wanted. The kitchen is equipped with pretty much everything you could need and is good to cook in. The beds were comfortable and everything felt nice and clRead moreean. The garden (which is shared with one other property) has plenty of room, but the grass does slope. The views are stunning. We plan to go back! Hide
