Kirkby Lonsdale boasts an excellent range of eateries, friendly pubs and bespoke shops. Visit Ruskins view and the famous Devils Bridge where you can enjoy leisurely walks by the beautiful river Lune. Explore the nearby stunning Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and Ingleborough and White Scar Caves. Travel a little further afield and visit the splendid shores of Lake Windermere, where you can explore the lake on a fantastic steamboat. Or enjoy family days out at the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis.

Stepping inside this lovely detached property with cosy underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, into the hall, the perfect place to store your outdoor clothing and head through to light and bright spacious lounge. Finally, completing the ground floor is the stylish shower room, with large walk-in shower and WC. Heading up the stairs to the first floor you are met with the master king-size bedroom with ample storage space and en-suite Jack and Jill bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. Next is the mezzanine floor with seating area and fantastic picture window to enjoy those lovely views. There is also a double sofa bed and access to the Jack and Jill bathroom.

There is a seating area enjoying wonderful countryside views, perfect for al fresco dining and lazy evening stargazing. There is ample off-road parking available.

Wander through the pretty streets to peer into shop windows, pick up supplies, and visit local landmarks: the Devil’s Bridge, the Radical Steps, and Ruskin’s View. Lace up your walking boots and pack your camera for a trip to Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (6 miles) or dare to explore the tunnels at White Scar Cave (8 miles), the longest show cave in Britain. The Lakeland Wildlife Oasis (13 miles) is a family-friendly day out, and has an on-site cafe for lunch as well as an outdoor children’s play area.

A lovely well equipped property. Warm, spacious and comfortable. Good for dogs. Nice location on a farm with access to footpaths. Local pub the Highwayman is excellent for food. Friendly and helpful owners.

Beautiful cottage in a picturesque location. Great open plan kitchen which is very well equipped. Good for sitting and chatting over supper. Then into the comfortable sitting room with a log burner to relax. Claire and David could not have been more helpful. We visited the farm animals with them and they provided recommendations on places to eat anRead mored visit. We loved it. Hide

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. It had everything you need. The cottage was clean and well equipped. A perfect stay and would definitely stay there again.

The cottage has beautiful decor. Claire and David were so lovely, really helpful and my boys loved feeding the pigs with them. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The Old Dairy is in a perfect location to explore both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. The property has been well thought out and is well appointed with plenty of space for the six of us for a week. The owners were perfect hosts and my children loved the opportunity to go and watch the pigs being fed on our last night. WilRead morel definitely book again Hide

A warm welcome on arrival, fabulous cottage, nice walks, we were lucky as it was lambing season so we saw no1 the day it was born. I recommended this property to anyone who wants to get away from concrete... we will be back in the summer :)
