A traditional farmhouse set within the heart of a working farm on a country estate, simply furnished and surrounded by countryside and well-waymarked footpaths from your front door.

Retreat to this gorgeous former farmhouse in scenic Herefordshire surroundings. Sleeping eight guests and also welcoming a pair of their four-legged friends, the four-bedroom holiday home is about 3 miles from Kington and in an excellent location for anyone eager to immerse themselves in the great outdoors. Enjoy it as a base from which to go walking and cycling straight from the doorstep. Spend time in the market town pottering in its colourful shops and galleries and sourcing local products in its market. Return to the property, which sits on a working farm, to explore the estate, relax out in the garden or bask beside a crackling fire.

Let yourselves into the handsome, stone abode through the porch, where you can leave your outerwear. Follow on through into the kitchen/diner to unpack your shopping and start thinking about what to prepare for dinner. Discover you have everything you need here to assist you in your endeavours, plus a dishwasher so no-one in your party has to struggle with the clearing up afterwards. Perch at the breakfast bar over a cup of tea while supper roasts in the oven. Lay the table and call everyone to gather round when the meal is ready. Head though to the inviting lounge afterwards to light the fire, find a film to watch on TV or play a game together. Find you have a ground-floor utility room, with shower and WC. Climb the stairs to the family bathroom, two double bedrooms and two super-king-size bedrooms, with beds that can be arranged as twins if discussed in advance. One of these has an en-suite shower room. Spill out into the tranquil garden at every opportunity and light the BBQ on warm, summer evenings. There is parking for three cars on the road at the farmhouse.

This cottage was a great space for our two families to spend some quality time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Welcomed with a lovely selection of local produce the cottage was spacious and fulfilled all our needs. The porch was a great place to kick off muddy walking boots and the hot tub a welcome relaxing space, although felt a littRead morele isolated from the cottage. Quality of facilities was excellent, beds comfortable and Mel was on hand when needed. Would recommmend! Hide
