This beautiful barn is set on a working farm, with friendly owners who will gladly involve you in farming life. From lambing to sheering, or perhaps a simple tractor ride on the gentle slopes of the Sugar Loaf Mountain, there's plenty to do on the doorstep.

Just three miles from the market town of Abergavenny and a couple of miles further to the lovely mountain town of Crickhowell. Hay on Wye, Monmouth, Cardiff and Hereford are in easy reach too. The Brecon Beacons National Park is easily explored from the door by bike, walking and there are several pony trekking options available nearby too. On rainy days there is a little cinema in Abergavenny and for more active days out Llangorse Activity Centre has a large indoor climbing wall for all abilities and one Europe's longest zip wires. Leisure facilities: private hot tub.

The accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: 2 king-size with TVs, 1 double and 1 single, with additional pull out bed. Bathroom: with bath with hand-held shower and WC. Shower room: with shower and WC. Wet room: with shower and WC. Lounge/diner: with TV, DVD, Playstation and iPod dock. Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and coffee machine. Outside: garden with outdoor furniture and hot tub. Amenities: ample private parking. Bed linen, towel, electric, underfloor heating and Wi-Fi included. 2 dogs welcome, more by arrangement. COOKING & DINING: Large, five star finish kitchen, large electric Britannia 6 hob / double over range, large SMEG fridge freezer, SMEG dishwasher, Nespresso Machine, Washer/dryer, double Butler sink, incredibly well equipped with a welcome basket awaiting your arrival. Lovely wooden dining table seating 8 comfortably.

RELAXING: 3 huge leather sofas, large television with free sat, Playstation 3, DVD, IPod Dock, wi-fi. PSP3 Games library and DVD library available. Outside there is a five seat private hot tub with sound and light system, included in the price.

BATHING: 3 bathrooms in total, A luxury wet room with basin, a shower room with basin and loo, a further bathroom, with claw foot bath, mixer taps, loo and basin. Fluffy towels included and handmade soaps from the Sugar Loaf Soap company.

PETS: No Pet Charges! Two dogs are very welcome, please double check with us if you have more than 2. There is a large working dog kennel available, (as luxurious as the barn!) which is perfect for pets drying off after a walk, or if you need to leave your dogs alone for a few hours whilst exploring.

OUTSIDE: Outside dining furniture and recliners in a pretty garden area, with exceptional views. Private driveway, parking and turning for two cars, more parking available behind the barn.

FARMING: The barn is on a small (and very tidy and quiet) working farm, so, in season, there is the opportunity to help feed new born lambs and watch the countryside at work.

HOLIDAY PREPARATION: We would advise to contact local amenities directly, such as shops, restaurants, pubs and attractions, to confirm the latest opening times and availability.

The Brecon Beacons National Park surroundings offer you a wonderful rural spot for outdoor activities. You'll find walking routes on your doorstep and the opportunity to hike the beautiful Welsh valleys. Head 7.5 miles out to a devoted Brecon Beacons tour centre if you want to truly get the most of your walking holiday. Challenge yourself to hike The Skirrid (5.5 miles), a moderately challenging 4-mile mountain walk offering remarkable views of the Sugarloaf Valley. Head out after dark for some remarkable night time views, where the Brecon Beacons International Dark Sky Reserve status offers you the chance to see constellations, the Milky Way and even the odd shooting star. The nearby town of Abergavenny has a lot to offer for a long weekend away, including an indoor market, frequent craft fair and an independent cinema. You'll find a handful of gastro-pubs, restaurants and cafes, and a visit in September offers you the chance to check out the annual Abergavenny Food Festival.

This property was spectacular. We loved everything about it. Location was quiet peaceful and beautiful, and only ten mins to nearby Abergavenny town. The barn itself was just incredible. So much attention to detail when thinking of guests. Outstanding property and hosts!

This is a beautiful location. No mobile phone signal but we did find a WiFi hub and obtained the password so not totally isolated. Barn was beautiful but the mattress on the master king size bed was dipping and uncomfortable. We had a storm and tv kept losing signal so tried to watch some dvd but remotes were dead and could not use them or watch dvRead mored. Beautiful barn and wet room. Hot tub was amazing and views. Relaxing 2 days except the weather and would go again Hide

Great barn. If its isolation and relaxation it's great however it's a bit of a walk anywhere you go due to the long driveway. Well equipped overall with most things you need. Would recommend.

The cottage is amazing. It was so open, light and spacious. Under floor heating was appreciated when waking up on a cold morning. Three bathrooms were well appointed. The bedrooms were so comfortable. I loved the openness downstairs, there was so much space for us to spread out and yet still all be together. The location of the cottage is perfect. Absolutely lovely barn.... plenty of room for 8 adults .... spectacular views....would highly recommend ... we all climbed Sugarloaf Mountain which is only 4.5 miles away from the Barn.

We loved our short break at the barn, there was everything we could have wanted there, it was in a lovely location and we had a perfect short break. The only thing I would maybe suggest is a couple of higher single arm chairs as my elderly parents found it hard to get up and down on the sofas but that did not distract from our enjoyment of our breaRead morek. Our stay was idyllic! The property is gorgeous, light and spacious with spectacular views. The owners are friendly and helpful and close by should you need anything at all. We were given free range of the farm
