Set within private grounds, these two beautiful old barns have been cleverly and stylishly connected to create a gorgeous holiday home, complete with stunning views. Finished to a high standard, this property provides maximum style and comfort.

On the natural border between England and Wales with Offa's Dyke just a little further up the hill, this house is perfectly located with incredible walks and mountain bike trails right from the door. The Black Mountains are fabulous by horseback and there are numerous riding stables nearby. There are Norman Castles littered throughout the landscape. Three historic castles, Grosmont, Skenfrith and White Castle, are all within easy reach, perfect for a day out exploring the Borderlands. Towns nearby include Abergavenny with its castle, shops and restaurants just 15 mins by car and The Cathedral cities of Brecon and Hereford are just 30 minutes away. Great for walking, with a wealth of mountain bike trails within the area as well as Wye Valley canoeing within the region.

This is a stunningly beautiful property in a private position and surrounded by lovely countryside.  Inside is a fabulously cosy drawing room with shelves full of books and a warming open fire with plenty of chairs gathered around for a lovely lazy afternoon or evening. There is also a spacious and stylish open-plan kitchen-diner which is found three steps down from the drawing room interlinked with this is large sitting room which is a beautiful glass conservatory which houses a comfortable corner sofa and wood burning stove . The kitchen is well-equipped and the French dining table has ample space for 12 guests.  As well as the drawing room, there is also a cosy den with TV, DVD Wi-Fi and Sky Sports. The property comprises of six beautiful bedrooms - a master with super-king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with adjoining single as well as four further super-king-sized rooms which can be made into twins on request. All the bedrooms and bathrooms have lovely little finishing touches making this property a real gem.

Outside there is some fabulous outdoor furniture on the terrace as well as private grounds complete with trampoline, swing ball and sledges in winter months. There is also a BBQ. The property has a long farm driveway, so please be aware that it gets muddy in bad weather - pack some wellies!

SLEEPS 2-11:  6 beautifully furnished bedrooms in total. Master bedroom with super-king size bed and en-suite bathroom, adjoining single bedroom. Four more double bedrooms made up with super king-size beds (which can be made into twins by request at the time of booking).  All bedding included. No Hen or Stag parties.

COOKING & EATING: Hand made, huge and fully equipped kitchen. Lacanche electric range, fridge, small freezer, microwave. Massive French dining table and chairs with plenty of space for twelve people to enjoy.

RELAXING: Three lovely rooms; a more formal drawing room, with open fire, elegant furniture and a cosy atmosphere, a cosy den, with huge sofa, large tv, dvd, wi-fi and Sky Sports and a large glass conservatory  which houses a corner sofa and wood burning stove.

STAYING CONNECTED: Wi-fi throughout, can be patchy, so computer points in every room. Patchy mobile signal, land line available.

BATHING: Three beautiful bathrooms and one downstairs loo: en-suite with roll top bath, double basin and loo. Two upstairs bathrooms with roll top baths, showers, basins and loos.

OUTSIDE: Remote and beautiful location, with private grounds, trampoline, swing ball and sledges available (at own risk). Garden furniture and barbeque available in summer months. In the winter months it could be muddy and this needs to be considered when driving on the track leading to the property

ACCESS: Due to the rural location guests are advised to use a large vehicle or 4x4 if arriving in October and up to the first week in April. The barn has a long farm driveway, which will get muddy in bad weather, so it's best to pack the wellington boots for opening the gate on arrival.

Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, this home is the perfect spot for city-based families to enjoy a true countryside break. As one of the most popular Welsh beauty spots, there is never a shortage of walking and hiking routes with views that will impress all ages. Enjoy a new way of seeing the sights with a trip 3 miles down to the nearest equestrian centre, where the whole family can enjoy a day out horse riding. It's also worth mentioning that the Brecon Beacons is a renowned International Dark Sky Reserve, and the stargazing is second to none. Due to the isolated location of the property, you won't struggle with light pollution from your back garden, meaning you can enjoy the wonders of the universe without having to travel too far from home.

Wonderful place for a family Christmas. Lots of living space and a huge table for monopoly, jigsaw, crosswords. Very wet and muddy outside, but in better weather it would be brilliant.

Had a fabulous week with our 3 grown up children and their wives and families(4 children from 1 to 4 years old). Lovely, spacious, well-equipped cottage in an idyllic, remote setting - (dodgy signal and wifi isn't great) but we drove to Raglan Castle, Beacon Park Boats(recommended) and the Brecon Mountain Railway, as well as walking round the farm Read morefields and hills.
