Located in a gorgeous rural area, this property is just a short walk from the sandy beach of Whitecliff Bay - one of the best beaches on the island. Set out on foot or bicycle from the property and make your way up to Culver Down, a stunning spot offering panoramic coastal views across Sandown Bay, where there’s a small pub and ice cream parlour for those seeking refreshment. From here, the coastal path can be followed south to Sandown and Shanklin or north to Bembridge. The attractive coastal village of Bembridge is home to a good pub, a range of restaurants, boutique style shops and a pretty harbour.

Inside, great care has been taken to both preserve this building’s original charm and inject plenty of contemporary comforts. Most of your time will be spent in the fantastic open-plan living space, which stretches the full length of this impressive property and features exposed stone walls, beams and ceiling trusses. At one end is a cosy lounge area with ample soft seating for all guests, a cosy rug, an open fire and TV/DVD. In the centre of this room is a large farmhouse table for enjoying group meals together. At the far end is a fantastic games area with pool table for those with a competitive streak. Glazed doors open from this room into a light and airy kitchen. Here you will find a range oven with gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There are three charming bedrooms on the ground floor, each of which open onto the terrace via French doors. The king-size and double bedrooms benefit from en-suite shower rooms and TVs, while the small single sits adjacent to a family bathroom with shower over the bath and a WC. A further delightful double bedroom with additional single bed can be accessed via a quirky spiral staircase from the lounge area and boasts fantastic rural views.

Outside, a sunny patio area with garden furniture and BBQ opens onto a large enclosed lawn. This is a fantastic, safe space for enjoying summer BBQs and garden games with family and four-legged friends. Three or four cars can be parked in the drive.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £200 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Overall the cottage suited our needs. Our family of 6 enjoyed using the pool table and bar billiards in the spacious living area. The kitchen overall was well equipped and provided easy access to the garden area, which is safe for dogs and children. This is a very lovely place to stay. It gives you a smile as soon as you walk in the door. It is easy to get to popular parts of the island, but do pre book if you want a meal out in the evening. I would only like to point out that it is close to a road, that although isnt very busy, can be noisy, even at night. Also there isnt a door to the upstaiRead morers bedroom so if you are holiday with people that have children or early risers, you are likely to get woken early too. Hide

Family loved the holiday and the house worked well for us. However, we were surprised how close the busy road was and also that the garden was little more than a lawn beside the car park . Inside the main room was rather dark and the games area was not separate and noisy.

The cottage is comfortable and very clean. The kitchen is equipped with all that you would need to make a meal or bake a cake. The beds are comfortable and 2 of them look into the garden with doors opening out to the garden lovely I should imagine in the summer. We enjoyed using the pool table and we used this everyday.
