The family and pet-friendly town is also a great spot for foodies so you’re sure to enjoy the perfect mix of beachside activities and nature’s bounty.

 

Take the flight of steps up to the front door of your holiday home where you’re greeted with a welcoming hallway, and a fabulous fusion of antique furniture, feature fireplaces and contemporary-style furnishings in cheery hues. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area make family mealtimes a breeze, while there’s a convenient ground-floor WC and utility room where you can leave beach gear. Sink into squishy sofas in the luxurious living room where you can enjoy evening drinks together or gather for popcorn nights by the Smart TV. Or enjoy a favourite book, board games or Xbox fun in the snug games room. Head upstairs where you’ll find the super-stylish bedrooms and plush bathrooms. Enjoy St Leonards’ annual book festival, summer town festival, and winter fair. Stroll by the shore and amble through 19th-century St Leonards Gardens – ornamental hillside gardens with a lily pond, sea views with a handsome backdrop of Regency homes. Head to Hastings Old Town for interesting shops and attractions - hop on the East Hill Lift, a funicular cliff railway that leads from the shore to Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve for spectacular sea views. The park is a wildlife haven and a designated Area of Archaeological Interest within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Tuck into fish and chips on the Stade beach below where colourful fishing boats are moored. Hop on two wheels and cycle the new bike trail from Sidley to Hollington in Combe Valley Countryside Park (2.5 miles). Or book a vineyard tour at Carr Taylor (5.5 miles) where you can learn all about vine growing and wine pairing.

EXTRAORDINARY house with the most brilliant facilities, games, kitchen (the oven is to die for) and garden. Excellent location right on the seafront and just down the road to some great little shops, some lovely looking cafes and a fun pub (called The Piper I think? Also, dog friendly!). We had a wonderful weekend away at this house. A perfect place for large groups (we were 10 adults, 2 babies and 2 dogs). The house is well stocked, clean and homely with lots of nice extra touches. Very close to the station and also lots of parking. Close to shops and pubs and the sea front. The host was great and very responsive with any queries.Read more Thank you for an excellent weekend. Absolutely beautiful house with lots of extras. Children loved the Mario carts and the hot tub. Thank you for a wonderful stay and being really helpful after I called a number of times. Definitely will be back. Thank you happy

Lovely big house, great decor in keeping with a holiday vibe. The owner was very helpful and welcoming in advance of the stay with great information laid on.
