This property is situated in a wonderful location in North Devon which offers easy access to some fabulous sandy beaches. The nearest beach at Saunton Sands is just two miles from the property, and offers three and a half miles of sandy shoreline with a range of facilities, including a cafe, takeaway, and surf-hire shop. A similar distance from the property, Croyde is a pretty seaside village, again with a pleasant sandy beach which has interesting rock pools at either end of the shore at low-tide. For those who would like a break from the beach, Ilfracombe is just a short distance around the coast, and offers an aquarium, bustling harbour, a good range of shops and well-regarded eateries.

This homely property offers spacious accommodation for eight guests. The main living area of this cottage is the relaxing lounge/diner which offers large comfy sofas, a radio, TV, DVD, and patio doors that lead outside. Around the corner, the galley-style kitchen provides everything that guests will need to make themselves at home, including an electric oven, hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer, with the washing machine and tumble dryer located separately, close to one of the bedrooms. Two of these bedrooms are twin rooms, with the other two being doubles, one of which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC. The property’s main bathroom offers a shower over bath and WC.

Outside the property, there is a private patio with garden furniture which is accessed through the lounge/diner. In addition to this, guests have use of the spacious shared gardens, which are mainly set to lawn, within which is a children’s play area with swings, a climbing tower and slide. There is also a fantastic shared outdoor heated pool, which is available to guests from May through to the end of September, offering a wonderful place to relax, play, exercise, and cool off. There is ample off-road parking available.

The village of Braunton with a shop and pub is 1.5 miles from the property. Here, wildlife loves can explore Braunton Burrows, a unique sand dune system, home to many rare plants and animals. Take the whole family for a day at the beach and head to Saunton Sands. It’s 2 miles away and the sandy shoreline reaches 3.5 miles. There are many facilities along the beach including cafes and shops. For those who prefer time away from the beach, the town of Barnstaple is 7.5 miles away with a wide range of amenities and a museum. Alternatively, head to the cosmopolitan and cultural town of Ilfracombe. It is 8.5 miles away, where you can find a great range of shops and eateries, as well as attractions such as a harbour and aquarium.

South Lobb Cottage a lovely spacious property for 7 of us. We all so enjoyed our time, and grandchildren especially loved the pool. The owner was also very helpful!

The cottage is well located for visiting a range of seaside places and doing coast walks. Braunton is busy but has good shops including a large Tesco. The amenities in the house are good and the beds very comfortable. The children enjoyed the play park and pool every day. We specially recommend visiting Braunton Burrows just at the bottom of the hiRead morell. Hide

Beautiful setting lovely views cottage very spacious minutes from a beautiful beach .Very narrow lanes to the cottage. Had a lovely holiday.

This cottage is in an idyllic spot with a distant view of the ocean, surrounded by countryside. Rich variety of bird life, insects and even bats in the evening. Sheep and horses in the adjacent fields. Great play equipment and area for children to run about. Shame that the pool is not really heated so that it limited the time we could spend in the Read morewater. If you are not expecting luxury, this is a good house. Hide

Lovely cottage in idyllic surroundings . Feedback from my 30year old children was that they wished they could walk somewhere as it was fairly isolated.

The location is really good for families with children as there is a play park and pool very close. We were all adults but found it very quiet and relaxing, the decor could do with a bit of update but clean, tidy and we'll equipped.
