Sleeping ten people and two dogs across five bedrooms, it was built in 1822 and boasts panoramic countryside views extending as far as Dartmoor. It’s an ideal base if you’re looking to explore and lose yourself in the beauty of these counties, while enjoying quality time away with loved ones.

This semi-detached home is set on the edge of a family-run beef and sheep farm and was originally the home of the local squire. It’s been lovingly refurbished in a contemporary style, but many original features remain. A pretty porch with flagstones leads into a spacious hallway and an impressive lounge with high ceilings and comfortable sofas surrounding a cosy wood burner. Enjoy long leisurely evenings together with a film or board game, while on warmer days you could open the French doors which lead out into the garden. A wood burner also features in the large dining room which is a lovely area for entertaining and more formal meals. Let the cooks of the group loose in the pretty kitchen which boasts a modern, country style, with a Rayburn stove at its heart. The handy breakfast bar is a great spot for catching up over a morning coffee or a quick snack. Towards the rear of the property, you’ll discover the first of the beautiful bedrooms, a spacious king-size with a separate shower room. An original staircase leads you up to the first floor where the remaining four bedrooms can be found, and a restful night’s sleep most certainly awaits. Each has been thoughtfully decorated in a light and fresh style, in keeping with the home’s history. Stepping outside, take a seat in the large enclosed lawn garden which has a swing, slide set and games to keep the little ones occupied. In the warmer weather, fire up the BBQ and watch the sunset as you enjoy some al fresco drinks and dine.

Explore Hartland Abbey and Gardens (9.5 miles) which makes for a fun day out for all ages, and don’t miss the chance to stop off at Hartland Quay, where you can take in some spectacular clifftop views. If walking is your thing, then pull on your hiking boots and join the beautiful South West Coast Path.

Absolutely fantastic place, owners were outstanding during our stay and even helped us to find a watch we had misplaced and left behind only to locate it for us and drive over 10 miles to hand it to us in person. Truly amazing service, couldnt fault the house in anyway and will definitely return ! Book it now !

Great stay here in October half term. There were 10 of us but we still had more than enough space. Road is a little bumpy but it is well worth it. Would definitely recommend it and will hopefully get to stay there again.

The property was even better than expected, 5*s for everything. Plenty of parking, beautifully decorated and maintained. All rooms were very spacious. White goods were top range. Plenty of TVs. The heating was excellent and the log basket greatly appreciated. The beds were very comfortable. I booked it for family and friends for a special birthdRead moreay celebration and it was the ideal setting for this. The huge dining room table coped with a wonderful buffet superbly, and the beautiful lounge was perfect for mingling. Ideal property for dogs with the large outside area and I would image children would have a lovely time in the large grassy area. I could not have chosen better.

Fabulous house and garden which accommodated our family really well. Very big rooms, we never felt on top of each other. Spotlessly clean and owner very accommodating. Ideally such a fabulous house could do with another shower, however, we did feel that overall it was a small compromise to make as everything else was just perfect.

A stunning, beautifully restored home set in the the quiet countryside with far reaching views of the Cornish landscape. We had the pleasure of staying over half term and couldnt have found a more perfect place for my family to stay. Absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely come back.

This was such a lovely house! Beautiful inside and out! It was plenty big enough for 8 adults, 1 teen and 3 dogs. We felt like we all had so much room and werent on top of each other. We all enjoyed our stay and had a lovely time. Communication was great and we had no issues with our stay.

A truly lovely spacious holiday house. In such a beautiful unspoilt location. Our children loved the play equipment outside. So many televisions, great! A really happy week for our family and dogs, would definitely come here again.

We have just had a wonderful week with extended family in the beautiful manor house. The house really is bigger than what it appears from the pictures.
