The cottage is situated in beautiful grounds, and is of a very high standard. Potentially 8 people can stay there, though the living area might get a bit cramped. It was fine for the 4 of us. The surrounding area is great for walks. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Loved it.

Don't be fooled by the outside of the cottage - it's a tardis, and a really comfortable, homely one at that. All mod cons finished to a high speck. But if views are what you are after then this isn't for you. The surroundings are a natural renovation in progress as the cottage and its surroundings are genuine. Quaint and quirky is what we would sayRead more. Hide

Sir Thomas Cottage is a lovely cottage in the stable block of Wortley Hall. The property was well equipped, comfortable and clean. Small courtyard garden but also access to the Hall's gardens. We had good bar meals at Wortley Hall, also ate at the nearby Wortley Arms and at the Countess tea rooms. During our week we went to the Botanical gardens inRead more nearby Sheffield but also to Holmfirth, Castleton and Eyam - all visited previously but great to go again. Longer journeys than anticipated though. Hide
