This Victorian villa is ideally situated for exploring the traditional town of Swanage and the Jurassic Coast. The property has a homely ambience and is great base for a family holiday.

The coastal town of Swanage boasts a beautiful bay with a golden sand beach, plus a great selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There are a wide range of amusements to keep the whole family entertained, including traditional Punch and Judy shows, fishing, pedaloes, arcades and crazy golf, which are set around a charming Victorian pier. There are coastal walks aplenty nearby and a thriving steam railway line that runs from the heart of Swanage to the picturesque village of Corfe Castle, which is home to castle ruins cared for by the National Trust. Durlston Country Park is also well worth a visit and offers fabulous views over the bay.

A short path leads from the roadside into this Victorian end-of-terrace property. Once inside, a hallway leads to the lounge on the left, which is a comfortable space with a Smart TV. Next, you will come to the inviting dining room, which leads into a contemporary galley-style kitchen to the rear of the property. This space has everything you need to cook up a storm with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Heading back into the entrance hall, you will find the staircase rising to the first floor. A half landing gives access to a bathroom with shower over bath and WC and a bunk bedroom. To the left of the staircase is a bright and airy king-size bedroom, which lies to the front of the property with a bay window, and a pretty double with a view of the garden. A further staircase leads to the second floor where there is a twin bedroom. Due to its position within the eaves, there are some areas of restricted head height in this room, which only adds to its charm.

Heading outside via the kitchen you will find a fully enclosed courtyard-style garden, complete with charcoal BBQ and garden furniture. To the front of the property, there is roadside parking, subject to availability.

We really enjoyed our holiday. The house is lovely inside, comfortable with everything we needed, a quiet cul de sac but less than 10 minutes walk to the sea with a large coop only minutes away. We were impressed by Swanage, we could definitely come back and have plenty to see and do.

A great location just 5 minutes walk from the seafront. In a quiet cup-de-sac, with ample space for 4 adults. Swanage is pretty and varied with awesome fish n chips and many quaint antique shops, a lovey beach and great coastal walks - perfect for getting out and about!

Seashell House was a great place to stay - the house is very well- kept and decorated beautifully. We were four guests and a dog and you could easily have more people and not be on top of each other. Beds are super comfortable as well! The location is brilliant with it being a short walk to the high street and beach, and an even shorter one to the Read moresteam train. We have been coming to the area for many years and this was one of the nicest places we have stayed, would highly recommend. Hide

We had a lovely holiday in Swanage. Every thing in the house was new and very clean. The location was perfect and we could walk to the town, beach, shops, steam railway, fantastic playground in just a few minutes. We hope to return some day but it looks like you're fully booked for most of the year!
