You’ll be well positioned to step out and explore lakeside and mountain hikes in this glorious national park, before heading home at the end of each day to relax in unrivalled comfort.

On arrival, the first thing you’ll notice in this charming property is a generous driveway with space to park plenty of cars – ideal for large groups. Step inside and discover a bright and airy ground floor where there’s space for all to unwind. The kitchen is a contemporary place with plenty of countertop space and a breakfast bar so someone can keep you company whilst you prepare an evening meal or picnic to head out with. From here you can access the property’s most cheerful space, the pretty sunroom. Doubling up as a dining room and extra lounge, the sunroom is flooded with light, offers plenty of comfortable seating and has direct access out to the expansive garden. Nights not spent al fresco are likely to be enjoyed in the lounge where you’ll find a wood burner and Smart TV, the ideal combo for cosy nights in. When it’s time for bed, head upstairs to discover four ever-spacious bedrooms, each of which features a soft and comfortable bed to sink into and beautiful views from the windows.

Step out and explore the welcoming country pubs that Threlkeld has to offer before following the railway trail down to ever-popular Keswick (4 miles). Well known as the area’s adventure capital, this town is awash with thrilling adventure centres ready to take you on nail biting outdoor adventures around the national park. Should you wish to keep things simple you may prefer a day at the Derwent Pencil Museum or Puzzling Place (both 5 miles) or discovering history at the Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum (2 miles). Keswick famously sits on the banks of Derwentwater Lake (4.5 miles), where boat trips or water sports are on offer, whilst the holiday home itself provides direct access to Blencathra (3 miles). Should you wish to venture out in the car, the Aira Force Waterfall at Ulswater (9.5 miles) and the pretty town of Windermere (20 miles) are both just a short journey away.

This cottage is great. The size of the house is perfect for a family. The interior is done really well and in a modern way. We have never seen a more equipped cottage. I really suggest this place for a relaxing break. You will need cars to get to places of course. Thank you Satis House.

This is a really well equipped and comfortable house. Location is great with easy access to Blencathra, the coffee shop and two pubs. The old rail line walk into Keswick also really handy. Welcome hamper was the best we've ever had! Highly recommended!

Lovely holiday home - it was clean, well-decorated, comfortable and in a fantastic location, with Threlkeld and Blencartha just a 2 minute walk from the house. The welcome pack was a really nice touch - it included biscuits, chocolate, prosecco and beers. Highly recommend!

Lovely place to stay. Neat and clean. Spacious, stunning dcor with everything you need. Personal touches with welcome pack - coffee/tee/milk/a beer and Prosecco + pack with dishcloth, dishwasher tabs etc. Highly recommended.

Wow, what a lovely holiday base Satis House provided. A very clean, well equipped and appointed property, the owners really have thought of everything to create a supremely comfortable holiday. Loved the conservatory and the patio area which allowed us to have a BBQ and eat outdoors a couple of nights. Lovely kitchen with everything you need. Nice Read moreutility area for muddy boots etc. Comfy bedrooms and very nice showers/bathrooms. Everything was great! Hide

The cottage was lovely and clean, very well equipped and really spacious for a group of 6 adults. The location was excellent, with walks from the doorstep and two pubs just a 5 minute walk from the house. We will defiantly be back.
