Studded in a beautiful location just 3 miles from the thriving market town of Cockermouth, you’ll be ideally placed for exploring the stunning countryside. The shores of Bassenthwaite Lake are a mere 10 miles away, where you can charter a boat from the sailing club or stroll along the shore path to reach the small open-air theatre. If you are partial to artisan spirits, the Lakes Distillery offers tasting tours 5 miles away, but there are lots of country pubs too. Ghyll scrambling, canyoning and rock climbing are just a few of the outdoor pursuits you can try thanks to the activity centre 4.5 miles away, and mountaineering attracts hikers of varying abilities year upon year. Looming in the distance is Skiddaw 15.5 miles away, but for a complete change of scene you can easily access the coast within 8 miles.

The house is in a lovely location and set up really well for a large group. It has the best equipped kitchen of any we have stayed in. Boot room, pantry and utility all made cooking and storing food easy. We loved the space and particularly enjoyed the stunning views from the conservatory. Place is brilliant. Absolutely huge and, even in cold weather, it is very warm through out the whole house. Three utility rooms and two dishwashers made cleaning everything up so easy. We all loved it and hope to come back next year.

Lovely 8 bed property all ensuite just a few miles north of Cockermouth and easy access to Central & Northern Lakes. The house is well equipped and the rooms are large to accommodate a sizeable group.Prompt response to any issues.

Really well set up for a larger group of people. We stayed there with all of my family (4 seperate households) for a week and it was excellent. The fact that every bedroom had an ensuite was a huge bonus. Multiple sinks, two dishwashers and loads of equipment made the catering easy. We had a wonderful week as a family at Redmain Hall Farm. The house was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We were so glad of the drying room where our boots, coats and washing dried in no time at all. Fantastic house for large friends or family gathering. Really comfortable lounge and beds adn a well equipped kitchen. Views are super and really close to Cockermouth for shopping etc. Access to the northern lakes is easy and plenty of northern Wainwrights to climb

A great cottage we had a lovely stay and we were lucky with the weather! A few minor hiccups with the tv and the oven but the support was excellent.

Very spacious rural retreat. Well equipped ,warm with comfy beds and lovely log burner. In a quiet, lovely area of the north lakes with easy access to Keswick. Friendly and helpful owners/ contact and locals. We were a party of 10 and had plenty of room. Lots of fridge and freezer space and glasses etc. Pleasant outside space with beautiful view.

The location was fantastic with great walks available from the house. For 16 people having a mix of doubles and twins all with ensuite is amazing. My one small criticism was the downstairs bedroom had paint flaking off the walls all over our stuff and hardly anywhere to store our clothes. Redmain Hall Farm was the best property weve rented yet. The house itself was clean, well-equipped and perfect for a holiday with my extended family. The location was stunning. So lovely to wake up to amazing views of the hills. Everyone had a great time.

This cottage is well equipped for large groups. The view from the cottage was beautiful and so quiet, amazing location! I really can't fault the accommodation. We really enjoyed watching all the different wildlife around the cottage. I would absolutely return and recommend to others! just a perfect family holiday.

Apart from some utensils in kitchen being tired and no glass and plastic bin collections, the house location was fantastic; so peaceful. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the house clean and comfortable. It was a perfect house to relax in. We would definitely book this property again.
