Charming 1800s cottage with period features, garden, lake views and within walking distance to pub in Radnor Valley. Perfect to explore the heritage, culture and countryside in the Welsh Marches.

This wonderful detached house dates back to the 1800s and boasts breathtaking views of the countryside, lake and garden. This is the perfect rural retreat for friends gathering together for a special holiday in an unforgettable setting. Located in the stunning Radnorshire Hills in Wales, the location of this property is perfect for walkers and those looking for the ultimate country escape. The period property sleeps up to eight guests across four bedrooms and is set within easy driving distance (10 miles) of the Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells which boasts a range of shops, restaurants and pubs - the perfect place to sit and enjoy a Sunday roast together!

This rural cottage exudes period charm throughout; from the exposed beams to the flagstone floors, traditional fireplaces and charming staircase, if you are looking for accommodation with character then you needn’t look any further. As you enter the property you will be welcomed into a cosy lounge which boasts everything one would wish for in a country cottage. A large stone inglenook fireplace takes centre stage in this space and houses a wood burner which is wonderful when the nights are a little chilly. Here you will also find soft comfortable sofas, a TV and selection of books for relaxing after a long day exploring. The kitchen/diner is equally as charming and provides plenty of space for meal preparation and enjoying the feast once it has been prepared. There are four bedrooms located across the ground and first floors and some are lucky enough to feature exposed beams and fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. Outside, there is a lovely enclosed garden with trees, lawn and gates which when opened lead to a spacious paddock and picturesque lake. The views from the property are simply mesmerising and form the perfect base for friends or family members to sit and dine together alfresco or just sit back with a glass of wine and watch as the sun sets magically over the hills.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely old well equipped farmhouse, with cosy comfy furnishings in a scenic, quiet, rural, farming location. Its only short walk to either of the local pubs if one does not feel like cooking.

This was a lovely cottage to escape the madness at the moment. Really peaceful, surrounded by sheep, birds and rabbits. The cottage is full of character which is lovely. It does mean some compromises - the kitchen and only one shower is tight for the capacity of the house, the stairs are tight and uneven. But lovely and cosy of a evening with the fRead moreire. The area is lovely - although some of the villages aren't fully open just yet. Hergest Croft Gardens was our tip for a trip - stunning. Hide

A really lovely house in a very picturesque location, this house was perfect for our multi-generational family of 6 plus dog. It's fairly remote, but the location is breath-taking, great for walking. The house had plenty of space (we needed 5 beds in 4 bedrooms), and is full of character. Generally, it is well-equipped with good heating, hot water Read moreand washing machine. Wifi is also good. Pub is just a walk away (although shut when we stayed due to lockdown). Highly recommended as a family stay. Hide

Great little getaway, surrounding area beautiful and perfect for walks. The location of the cottage was also ideal for walking to the local pub in the evening for an excellent dinner. Would definitely go there again.

The location was lovely set in beautiful hills and countryside. However there was an overwhelming musty odor which gradually lessened as we kept windows open. The boiler was not fully functioning and after caretakers reset it failed again on the second night and no warm water or central heating. Spent a few days with some friends in this cottage in February. Lovely cottage, clean and tidy and a lovely welcome from the caretaker who came to see us on the first evening. The enclosed garden was large enough to throw a ball for the dog although there is a public footpath across the property but we never saw anyone use it. The local pub was verRead morey welcoming and served good food. Hide

Beautiful quiet setting for this old refurbished cottage. Hills all around for walking. We had a windy wet week but were comfortable with the log fire. It was important for us that the dogs could enjoy the break with us.
