Walk down to the Lundy Shore Office (160 metres) and book a day trip to Lundy Island, where the wildlife is often compared to that of Galapagos. If you’ve got children with you, they’ll love the BIG Sheep (2 miles), while dogs are welcome to join you at the Milky Way Adventure Park (10.5 miles). Survival Paintball and Laser Games (6.5 miles) is a brilliant place for a stag or hen do activity, as is Croyde Deckchair Cinema (19 miles) if the good old English weather is against you. Saunton Sands (16.5 miles) is a beautiful beach that is loved by surfers and sunbathers, as is Woolacombe Beach (21.5 miles) which is also home to the most difficult parkrun in the UK, a fun running and walking event that starts every Saturday morning at 9am.

We had a great week celebrating New Year at Quay loft. Fabulous & spacious -ideal for any celebration. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Nespresso coffee machine was a bonus! Location was good, a short drive to Westwood Ho! Where we watched the New year day swim. Supermarkets within walking distance or short drive. A great apartment for a larger number of people. 2 ovens enabled us to cook larger meals so we could all eat around the large table. Beds were very soft (which will not suit everyone). The apartment is in a good location with parking, using a permit supplied by the owner, a 5 minute walk along the main road parallel to the river. Perfectly appointed apartment. Modern comfortable and with bags of space to enjoy together or to find some quiet time apart. The weather was pretty poor for our stay but we passed the time with board games on the immense dining table, films on the ginormous tv screen and hide and seek for the children. Fantastic accommodation kitted out to a very high specification. There was 6 of us staying so we had more than enough space and no problems cooking lots of food with 2 ovens plus a large induction hob available. I imagine there may be some background noise from outside if you stay peak season and have to have the windows open but that wasn't an issRead moreue at the end of January! Lovely apartment in great location, great views from the windows and useful to have EV charging. Although weather was poor, we found enough to do walking on the coast path and tarka trail. Had lovely lunches in Instow (the boathouse and john's) and a great evening meal at the mill Street brasserie.

I can't even begin to give this property a good enough review. It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and we could not think of anything it was missing. Its position was also great - right in the middle of town. Wow!!! The Quay loft you did not disappoint! We stayed in the property for October half term and it proved an excellent base for our two young families to explore North Devon. The best space for socialising in complete comfort with high end fixtures and fittings. Right in the town with a lovely view if the river. Great location for getting to parts of Devon and Cornwall, whether by foot or bike on the Tarka trail or in a car to beaches.
